Scam? Why, this is probably the finest Bible you can get in Hangzhou for $3 a pop.

And based on the figures reported in the referenced article, it appeared that the state of Oklahoma was prepared to spend close to $55 per Bible, which we've recently learned are being printed in China for less than $3 each.

Here in Okiehomie, politicians are happy to p!ss away taxpayer funds on stupid stuff like $3MM of Hydroxychloroquine (that ended up going to waste) or over-priced Trump Bibles (guaranteed to burst into flame in the presence of Der Dotard). Stuff like this occurs on a regular basis here. (And don't get me started on the legal bills racked up by Ryan Walters and passed along to the state government for payment.)
Already at the bottom and looking sideways, the education system in the Sooner or Later State is being driven to new depths by Walters. Many here do not understand that this guy is furthering the perception of Joklahoma being a backward place with a populace unable to do much more than herd cattle, drill holes in the ground, or shoot each other in robberies. My employer has a very hard time finding prospective employees with the skills needed to function in the information age. Ryan Walters is making this place even worse, and his impact will last a generation...

As an atheist, I can look at all this, and move on...no one is mocking my "god", no one is using ancient scripture to line his or her pockets, but if I were one of the devout, I would be furious. You don't grift in church...at least in most churches, and you don't use the Bible to lie through your teeth. And I am an atheist, I can only imagine how some Christians feel about the Trump Bible nonsense..."Only holy words if it has father Trump's name on it"...

Anything connected to Donald Trump ~~ (Yes, even including his candidacy for President) is a scam. G-U-A-R-A-N-T-E-E-D
I don't know how Ryan Walters got dragged into this (kickback???) but he shoulda read the manual: ~ "Everything Trump Touches Dies."
What in the hell is wrong with these people?
If Walters loses his job, it's well deserved. Maybe he'll learn something.

That's the exact book I keep asking JeffJ about (here)
It was a copy originally autographed by the author, and personalized ("To JeffJ"), that I snail-mailed to him.
But, for some reason, JeffJ won't respond.
I wonder why that is.

Some people just can't handle the truth for fear their whole world would fall apart.
