Linda McMahon is a former WWE executive who "wholeheartedly" agrees with Trump that we should abolish the Department of Education. I'm fighting to defend our students and teachers.

The Crazier the Better has long been the winning strategery for Reality TV shows like Trump's Presidency 2025: The Russian Oligarch Years.

Of course, if it were a show, no one would get hurt, lose SS and health care, have a Trump Recession, and die a lot.

This reminds me of the time those Saudis went to flight school.

They weren't interested in learning how to take off or land.

They only wanted to know how to turn.

I notice not evenMAGAs are not defending this appointment but I guess it won't matter considering they are abolishing the Dept. of Education so her job won't even exist very soon.

2-3 weeks. No more DOE.

I have a few...maybe not friends.

People I interact with.

Some have special needs kids who depend on programs funded by DOE.

What now? Don't come crying to me.

I was happy to pay taxes to help EVERYONE.

Sorry you clowns voted for the party that helps NO ONE.

At least the kids will learn how do a fake choke hold and how to fall properly while their Corporate based Privatized School makes sure they become among the Republicans largest supporting voter group, the undereducated.

I suspect action to dissolve DoE will be met with judicial opposition. It's a Congressionally mandated department. Trump can't simply wave it away with a flick of his geriatric-sized Sharpie.

Years of educational experience? Oh wait. She knows the Felon from long ago and gave millions to him along with his salary from WWE

WWE discovered Vince McMahon paid $5 million to Donald Trump's foundation, report says
Published Wed, Aug 17 2022

Former WWE boss Vince McMahon paid $5 million of around $20 million previously unrecorded expenses to Donald Trump's foundation in 2007 and 2009, WSJ reported.

The report comes weeks after McMahon retired as CEO of the company amid investigations into hush payments he made related to alleged sexual misconduct.

The donations were given during two years that Trump made appearances on televised WWE events.

Perhaps one of you dim bulb Trumpers can elucidate us on the wisdom/neccessity of eliminating the DOE. McMahon's qualifications to hold the position in the first place are more than a little suspect. If this were a TrumpCo-produced television show, I'd have changed the channel long before the end of the title card and intro music. Then again, his supporters have always struck me as the kind of thick-bricks who actually believe Pro Wrestling is real, and that all that book learnin' stuff is just liberal indoctrination.

What? Crickets? You soulless clowns might consider impotently flogging the dead Fraud & Waste Horse again, but that pantomime nag couldn't/wouldn't trot in the first place, but sure...keep whacking the poor critter. All allegorical vitriol aside, having a long-expired secondary credential, I'm quite stumped as to their justification for purposely insisting that American children--especially those from the working class --remain...unsophisticated, shall we say? I had hoped at least one of you could provide at one salient point, but alas...cridckets.

When I saw the last name I thought of pro wrestling (even though it's a pretty common name). Kinda surprised she's actually affiliated.

Affiliated? She co-produced the WWF/WWE extravaganzas with her husband for years, occasionally even playing heels during televised matches. The more you know.

She has no business being the Secretary of Education. Of course Trump shouldn't be POTUS either but here we are.

Just when you thought he couldn't find a worse pick than DeVoss

@#11 ... Just when you thought he couldn't find a worse pick ...

Back in the day, when I lived in Stamford, CT, I used to take exit 6 off I-95 to go home. nd there was the WWE building just off the ramp.

I don't know if it is still there, though.

I found this ...

Titan Towers
en.wikipedia.org

... 1241 East Main Street, also known as Titan Towers,[3] is an office building located in Stamford, Connecticut, United States. It served as the global headquarters for the American professional wrestling and entertainment company WWE from 1991 to 2023.[4] WWE, a subsidiary of TKO Group Holdings (TKO), later moved their global headquarters to Washington Boulevard in Stamford, with TKO establishing its headquarters in New York City. ...

Yeah, the "from 1991" aspect is about 15 years after what I saw.
