Poor Alice. She though she was going to land a cushy UN gig and instead has to represent the icky poor people in her district because magat mike sees the writing on the wall that his speakership is hanging by a thread.
They're so afraid of losing the majority and opening up sh*tler to oversight his illegal acts demands.
They can't protect his criminal ass if they lose the majority.

How strange that the GOP seems to fear elections. And in a Trump +20 district, no less.
I've been assured by many MAGAts on this site that America was fully on board with their Orange Messiah.

#1: Hi Nixon. At the tender age of 30, Stefanik would have been an "Ambassador." Beside being "crushed," she is seething underneath. Republican screwing over Republican: vectorseek.com

Poor Elise thought that cushy UN gig was a done deal, sewn up, in the bag. She even went out and got herself a make-do make-over so she could meet and converse with people not keen on being seen in the same room with MAGAt flip-flop foppery with its assorted signage and flaggery. Alas, now it's back to MAGAtland and red-white-and blue flip-flop foppery. So it'll be the usual drone of yee-haws and yahoos for Elise instead of that tinkling dreamland of sweet mercis< and gritty realpolitik. Sirely Mencken would smile, at least a little.

Yes he did. And he is [I'll be kind] now having to defend that decision.
And that relates to the current topic, how?

I'll restate my #14 comment ...
"Johnson has to reassure GOP lawmakers after their president said he's nervous about a Trump +20 district."
OK, the problem here seems to be more of a diminishing support for GOP candidates that Pres Trump sees.
Where else may we have seen this?
Well, there's this ...
GOP 'anxiety' persists ahead of Florida special elections in Trump territory www.nbcnews.com
... Republicans are looking to add two more seats to their House majority after special elections in Florida next week, giving GOP leaders a little more breathing room in a tightly divided legislative chamber. But they might be holding their breath until the polls close Tuesday. Voters will cast their ballots next week in Florida's 1st and 6th Congressional Districts, two deep-red seats that President Donald Trump won easily in November. While Republicans are still expecting to win both races, they are more competitive thanks to a wave of Democratic money and early votes. ...

My guess is that those two districts will remain Republican.
But, for me, is the concern by the Trump admin that such a previously solid Red area may not.
