Self-inflicted? As in Trump took the economy into the gravel pit and shot it?

Look, what's happening is that no matter how bad the economy gets MAGA will lie about it and say that it's fine.

We're already getting a taste of that here in this forum.

Believe your own eyes; believe what you see. And don't obey MAGA threats to keep quiet about it.

The Coming Recession Will Be Self-Inflicted

And it will make Trump billions by shorting the stock market for the recession that he caused.

And I wish it was just limited to the economy. But his executive orders and DOGE are going to kill scientific innovation in our country which will move us behind Europe, China, and India. Additionally he is killing our traditional alliances so the country will be less secure.

All of this will lead to either vast domestic unrest which Trump will declare Martial Law or giving up and capitulation--either way Trump will use it to stay in power as long as he can while it all burns to the ground except for the ultra rich who will have escape options.

The coming recession will be a depression that will kill off 10 to 20 million low income seniors.

"We now live in the Trump era, where the president's terrible ideas are made real by a team of enablers and toadies. Democracy may die in darkness, but under Trump, it's just as liable to die in dumbness."

Data out Tuesday showed activity in the manufacturing sector slipped into contraction for the first time this year and costs continued to surge as suppliers weigh the impact of President Trump's tariff policy.

The Institute for Supply Management's manufacturing PMI registered a reading of 49.0 in March, down from February's 50.3 reading and below the 49.5 economists polled by Bloomberg had expected. Readings above 50 for this index indicate an expansion in activity, while readings below 50 indicate a contraction.

Given the increasing probability of no elections in 2026, MAGA pols don't seem to care, and do not seem concerned about the voices of their constituents back home. As for coming back to their states and districts, many will not have to bothers--those homes will be burned to the ground...

And the ignorant fools who blamed everything on Biden are the ones now entirely silent in the face of an actual POTUS' policies actually causing economic turmoil and downturn.
