Pitifulfuk Space Base--what can you do about shrinkage when it's -45F outside?

This stupid, expensive boondoggle that VD Jance and Ush** wasted our taxpayer dollars on also cost this USSF Colonel her career. I hope VD Jance is happy with himself. He gave his Yale buddy the job as Secretary of the Army and Acting Director ATF, double-dipping his way to the bank.

Somebody on the base dimed her out. Her email was to the SF soldiers on Pituffik Space Base. A MAGAt must have forwarded it to Space Command or to some Republicans.

They're likely monitoring emails sent from government servers for specific words and phrases.

Fired not because of the inability to lead.

Fired because of the inability to blindly follow and kiss the butts of maga idiots.

Time to lawyer up. Hope they have documented her "inability to lead" very precisely.

It doesn't take a fortune teller to be able see a (another) wrongful termination lawsuit in the near future.

The most likely reason for this is gender.

JD Vance said that Denmark has not kept "the people of Greenland safe from a lot of very aggressive incursions from Russia, from China and other nations".

There have been NO incursions.

"Fired because of the inability to blindly follow and kiss the butts of maga idiots."

Military personnel are not allowed to be critical of government officials.

Whatcha do is make up meme's.

There are "OpSec Clear" posters around my office. Broken computers are marked "DOGE."

My fave though, by far, is a quad picture.

One quadrant has Aragorn stating, "You have my sword."

The next has Legolas saying, "and you have my bow."

The third one has Gimli saying, "and you have my axe."

The third has Saruman asking "am I supposed to be in this group chat?"

I've been in or working with the military since 1994. I don't think I have ever seen an administration for which service members had so little respect. Maybe Clinton, but I don't think it extended beyond him as a person. This administration is just a goldmine of memes.

There were a lot of Jim Mattis memes when he was SEDEF, but they were all positive memes.

When speaking with J. D. Vance, it's very important to couch your statement properly.

"Military personnel are not allowed to be critical of government officials."

And here I thought Speaking Truth To Power is a desirable quality among those who get to speak to power.

Is this a recent change?

"Is this a recent change?"

Nope.

It's always been this way.

#18 | Posted by madbomber at 2025-04-11 01:47 PM | Reply

But most of the time, the administration didn't care that much.

This one does.

US military officers today must be feeling similar anxieties the way Soviet military officers felt in the 1930s (but without the firing squad): "Will I be next?"

The MCM States Any Service Member May Be Prosecuted Under Article 88 (Contempt Toward Officials) If They Use "Contemptuous Words Against The President, The Vice President, Congress, The Secretary Of Defense, The Secretary Of A Military Department, The Secretary Of Security, Or The Governor Or Legislature Of Any State, Commonwealth, Or Possession In Which He Is On Duty Or Present."

"I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the US administration discussed by Vice-President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base."
That is "contemptuous"?

The up side is that there are probably 10-15 European countries that would hire them on as advisors, or maybe commission them directly. A decade or so ago, Australia was hiring US officers to fly their F-18s and instruct at their different training schools.

#24: Concur. The EU and the Commonwealth countries will benefit greatly from America's brain drain. Tulsi Gabbard fired 100 USIC personnel that our allies will no doubt recruit. Canada and France began the process of absorbing fired American medical researchers and academics. The Trumpf junta produced the only SECDEF that I am aware of who was booed by military families. This is the same SECDEF that had volunteers demonstrate at his Senate confirmation hearing, and who needed a tiebreaking vote (51-50). Fredo is running the Corleone Family.

"The Trumpf junta produced the only SECDEF that I am aware of who was booed by military families."

The dude is a joke. He has no credibility with the troops.

I kinda feel bad for the guy. Trump wanted a lapdog, so he hired a national guard major whose biggest accomplishment was being a media personality. That in and of itself is interesting, but its his behavior while acting as SECDEF that has the force laughing at him.

Most of the time, the position of SECDEF is immaterial to the troops. They just don't care. Mattis was an exception-he was loved. I'm not sure why, but he was. This dude is getting ridiculed.

So if I am understanding you correctly you are saying that you (and the troops) have "lost confidence in his ability to lead".

Sounds like they fired the wrong person again.

#27: Throughout the many years of the GWOT, General Mattis connected with the Marines, Airmen, and Soldiers who served under him in Iraq and Afghanistan because he really cared about the well-being of his men and women. Gen Mattis was the opposite of Robert McNamara or Donald Rumsfeld, former oligarch CEOs appointed to SECDEF. Hellsbreath will go down in history as a clown, puppet, misogynist, and drunkard.

Yes. That's exactly what I am saying.

I'm not the US military...that's a much larger organization. But for those who occupy my office, Hegseth is something of a joke.

I don't know how long he will last. When you're constantly being protested or made fun of, it's hard to lead.

Trump went through five SECDEFs during his 1st term. lets see if he can beat that record.
