@#14 ... I'd wager the majority of food you've consumed in your life was harvested, tended to, butchered by, delivered by people you like to call illegal immigrants.
They're the people who do the jobs Americans refuse to do for salaries that help keep costs low at the stores. ...
Not just salaries, but also safety conditions. If you are an illegal immigrant working in a dangerous meat-packing plant, can you ask the Federal government for help about those dangerous safety conditions? You cannot. And that is one of the reasons why American companies give jobs to illegal immigrants instead of hiring Americans.
As noted by Pres Trump not targeting, e.g., Iowa meat processing plants in his crackdown upon illegal immigrants. ... Even Pres Trump seems to understand the contribution of illegal immigrants to the Country..
Then there are those who pick the oranges in Florida.
etc.
As I have said before, if you are in this Country illegally, you should leave.
However, I also realize the effects of that statement upon the, not only economy, but food supply we rely upon.
So, is the answer just a mass deportation to some inhumane prison?
Or is the solution taking a step back, looking at the problem and coming up with a workable solution?
