DOGE's Fraud Tracker at Social Security Turns Into a Massive Self-Own
Procedures implemented by the Department of Government Efficiency suggested that just two out of 110,000 calls to the Social Security Administration this spring had a "high probability" of being fraudulent, Federal Computer Week reported.

"That is a far cry from the 40 percent figure that was parroted by MAGA in recent months, including by DOGE's recently departed leader, Elon Musk, and Vice President JD Vance.
The real figure is about .0018 percent.
Musk, who has been notably quieter the last month, did not immediately address his department's face-palm on Thursday."

How embarrassing for all Trumpers everywhere.
Well, it would be were they capable of it

".0018 percent"
So 4 in 10, once translated into Republican Math.

Too late...Russell Vought is in charge of DOGE.
And POTUS.
It's his show now, anyone thinking otherwise isn't paying attention.
Buckle up boys and girls, MAGATs are gonna get everything they thought they wanted.

Whoever came up with the 40% figure sounds precisely like the incompetent worthless federal employee who should be fired.

One wonders how many of Trump's voters give a rats rump about truth, logic, compassion, helping the sick and the poor, all they care about is...supremacy of their white power, male supremacist, far right Christian group.

Ah, yes, the "first-person singular" folk: I, me, mine. Period. Nasty people, through and through.

I had a very stupid republican friend (when I say very stupid, this is the type of guy who invests in as-seen-on tv "collectibles") once tell me that he's fine with the government spending one thousand dollars to find one hundred dollars in fraud. That's the kind of very stupid people we now have in charge.

Maybe so, but it was Musk and Vance who spouted that 40% figure. Read the article.

And that's what scares me more: this doesn't pass the smell test, and they either have horrible advisors who don't know better, or are afraid to speak truth to power. It's more likely Trump and Vance know the truth, but choose to lie.
None of those options are good for America.
Since they both repeated the "eating the dogs, eating the cats" lie after it was debunked, I'd guess the latter.
