All those Campaign Rally Venues that Trump stiffed in both his runs, those are Debts, and Donald Doesn't Do Debts.

But we are all going to pay for them 1000 fold.

... It is too devastating to be put in the hands of political people that may want to use it despite the horrendous effect it could have on our Country and, indirectly, even the World. ...

Is that not what Pres Trump seems to want?

Politicization of the Federal government?

Why eliminate the debt ceiling when you are going to eliminate the deficit? Or did that last part not work out?

OK #2 aside, I have to ask ...

What prompted Pres Trump to suddenly seem to want to work across the aisle, with the very Democrats he calls "the enemy from within?"

The enemy from within': Trump calls Democrats more dangerous than U.S. foreign adversaries (October 2024)
www.nbcnews.com

... During a pretaped interview on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," Trump was asked by host Maria Bartiromo about how he would handle bureaucrats who might seek to undermine him in a potential second term.

"I always say, we have two enemies," Trump said, adding: "We have the outside enemy, and then we have the enemy from within, and the enemy from within, in my opinion, is more dangerous than China, Russia and all these countries."

Trump added that a "smart president" could handle outside adversaries "pretty easily," but "the thing that's tougher to handle are these lunatics that we have inside, like Adam Schiff."

"I call him the enemy from within," he added. ...

So, what made Pres Trump seem to change his mind?

Did someone get his attention and explain the damage he is doing to the American economy?

"The Debt Limit should be entirely scrapped to prevent an Economic catastrophe. It is too devastating to be put in the hands of political people that may want to use it despite the horrendous effect it could have on our Country and, indirectly, even the World. "

orange Hitler says that his Big Beautiful Nill will add $2,4 trillion dollars to the national debt. Does anyone pay attention to this clown any more,

@#6 ... Elon is going all Mean Girl on him. ...

My guess might be that Mr Musk wanted Pres Trump to extend his (Musk's) 130 temporary employee ~term~ and Pres Trump would not support that.

Why?

Maybe Pres Trump was starting to see the negatives with being associated with Mr Musk's DOGE efforts. Why else might Pres Trump seem to have gone quiet on his social platform of late about DOGE?

Or maybe it was Mr Musk's physical altercation in the Oval Office and Mr Musk's black eye?

Maybe that black-eye had a more symbolic meaning?

Who knows.

One thing I did notice, Mr Musk posted social messages quite critical of Pres Trump's bill, and Pres Trump seems to have shirked away from responding to Mr Musk.

So, even though they seem to be divorced now, is Pres Trump still afraid of Mr Musk?

"Doesn't Do Debts."

Then why the bankruptcies?blame him for lying as much as I blame Republicans for votinf for hm
Republicans listened to him promise all sorts of nonsense and then still voted for him. I don't him as much as I blame them for voting for him!. I suspect their motives were based on the belief that his racism would be a major factor in his Presidency and they weren't wrong.

@#10 ... Republicans listened to him promise all sorts of nonsense and then still voted for him. ...

That's what usually happens when you join a cult.

Unfettered obsequious support and no ability to criticize.

The GOP joined the MAGA cult voluntarily, do they want out now?

Senate Leader Thune looks to have a couple rough weeks going forward. (that might be an understatement, too soon to tell ...)

Will the Senate Republicans fall in line with the MAGA cult?

Time will tell ...

Every Lumper here should agree with him, but I bet they don't.

Personally I think its a great idea, make end of times happen much sooner.

That's what usually happens when you join a cult.

Prove your assertion Republican voters care about the debt? I contend they don't, because debt always gets worse under a Republican President.

Where did I make that statement?

... debt always gets worse under a Republican President. ...

I do not disagree.

Republican president admins seem to add more to the debt than Democrat president admins.

If course, he is. They're treating the country like finance bros at VC/hedge funds treat struggling companies.

They'll run up the debt in the public, transfer as much as they can to themselves then walk away when it collapses.

When I said he doesn't 'Do' Debts, I meant he doesn't pay them. Hardly ever.

And he has no intention of paying for any American debts he creates, either.

Gee. Nice philosophy. Hoping for the end of the end of the world is such a great plan!

Well we are all gonna die! So might as well get to it. And obviously that means no need to waste money on healthcare and food for the poor!

Heaven awaits Christians! Martyrdom awaits Muslims!

So let's get to it!
