"Mamdani is poised to face Adams, who opted out of this year's Democratic primary and is running as an independent himself, as well as Republican Curtis Sliwa."

I know it's been years, but Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa being a Republican is just sooo awful. He wanted to be a vigilante and quickly found it much better being a bootlicker.

Hi Snoofy: Decades ago Curtis Sliwa made money for himself on a NYC radio talk show, you most likely already knew that. He was probably one of America's first 'Joe Rogaines," blighting our airwaves with distractions and blather. Before Sliwa established the Guardian Angels, he was a night manager at a McDonald's in the Bronx or Brooklyn. That's obviously an outstanding qualification to run the world's largest metropolis.

Looks like New York "Democrat" Cuomo is showing his true colors by acting as a spoiler so that the Republican wins.

Of course he is. Cuomo may be a democrat, but he absolutely knows what it means to let that socialist, extremest win.

It's hard to believe that Cuomo lost after being endorsed by ------ mouthpiece and repug icon George Santos.

Can't they get Michael Bloomberg to run again? He was one of the greatest mayors in NYC history...

Fun fact, I used to work with a guy who was in the Ed Koch administration.

The DNC and the GOP's handlers do not want Americans to see how much better life could be when the government works for us, instead of them.

You're ------- retarded.

There no other explanation.

Cuomo dropped out. But the DNC won't let him.

It's 2016 and the DNC is tanking Bernie all over again.

What do you expect when the same people own both parties.

Enjoy your illusion of choice.

You dumb ------- Moron.

Can you ask your boy Mario Jr. to tell us what it means?
Will something bad happen to Hymietown, if Mamdani becomes mayor?

If Mamdani becomes mayor LftHndTurds will never go to NYC ever again!

Neither will BlueWaffles, BullBringer, Boaz, or any of our other resident trumpers that live in other states and won't ever be affected by who the mayor of New York City is.

They're not even sure why they care who the mayor of NYC is.

They're just so overwhelmed with rightwing propaganda, they're acting like their lives are being put in danger.

It's stupid. But so are they.

- socialist, extremest

If you are not wearing some kind of corporate branding on your person at all times, you might be a socialist, extremist.

The billionaires own you... and when your Pres wears that stupid red, branded hat everywhere (to hide the balding) he's owning you, too.

"socialist, extremest"

Meaningless buzz words that causes deplorable Trumping MAGAts to foam at the mouth.

America was great in the 1950s not because it was so ------- racist. But because the nation was more socialist. The wealthy were being taxed at 90% and corporate taxes were at 50%.

The government then used that money to build the interstates and this nation. It's what gave America such a strong healthy economy and made living in the 60s and 70s more enjoyable.

There's so much ignorance in this country, and the Republican Party has taken advantage of it.

People are more upset at Zohran Mamdani's proposal to put one non-profit grocery store that sells food at cost, in each NYC borough, than the current system that is forcing 7 million people to go into debt to buy groceries with buy now / pay later services.

... Andrew Cuomo will not drop out of the NYC mayoral race ...

Quelle surprise.
In the Democractic primary he lost, big time.

But as an Independent candidate in NYC, how might he fair?

And, I will also note, from what I've seen on local news, Mayor Adams also seems to be running an Independent campaign for Mayor.

Zohran Mamdani's plan to tax the rich is a 2% tax on income over $1 million.

If you make $1.1 million, you'd pay an extra $2,000.

Watching working class conservatives and politicians completely meltdown about this is wild.

Not related at all, or maybe? ...

*from the band that brought you Do Wah Diddy Diddy ( www.youtube.com ) back in the day ...)

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Be Not Too Hard (1974)

Lyrics excerpt ...

genius.com

...
Be not too hard for life is short
And nothing is given to man
Be not too hard if he's sold or bought
For he must do the best he can

Be not too hard when he blindly dies
Fighting for things he does not own
Be not too hard when he tells lies
Or if his heart is sometimes stone

Be not too hard for soon he'll die
Often no wiser than he began
Be not too hard for life is short
And nothing is given to man
...

Bernie Sanders
@BernieSanders

Mamdani won. The establishment is in panic.

Billionaires are raising money against him; Trump is ranting; Islamophobes are on the loose.

They know what we know: Candidates who stand boldly with the working class can win not only in NYC, but anywhere.

Let's stand with Zohran.

Well, yeah. You should see what I've been watching on the NYC media.

Looking at this from a different angle, is the "establishment in NYC" the Wall Street types? Because they seem to be the loudest opposition (understatement if I have ever written one) to candidate Mamdani from what I have been seeing.

It's unfettered capitalism under attack.

Even if paying $2k a month could save America.

Most multimillionaires and billionaires would rather not.
