Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, July 12, 2025

Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans passed the largest health care cuts in history, slashing Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, in order to fund tax breaks for the wealthy and big corporations. With these massive Republican cuts, cash-strapped medical centers, clinics, hospital wards, and long-term care facilities are being forced to slash services and even shut their doors. As hospitals and nursing homes close, people will lose jobs, local and state economies will suffer, and entire communities will be left without access to care. With Hospital Crisis Watch, we're exposing the full scale of harm Republicans are inflicting on America's health care system"community by community, hospital by hospital. The public deserves to know who's responsible. And we won't stop until they're held accountable. Link: Full Report.

Because of these draconian budget cuts in the 'BBB' to give billionaire oligarchs unneeded tax cuts, over 330 hospitals may be forced to close. US Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) cites studies indicating that 51,000 additional Americans will die each year because of the BBB.' The Samaritans at protectourcare.org are tracking the hospitals and stories. Friedrich Engels described what Trump and the Republicans are doing as 'social murder." Sources:

I am always glad to monitor events that TRUMP/MAGA said could never possibly happen.

If this comes to pass rural healthcare in Okiehomie, Louisiana and Kentucky will be wiped out. The mechanisms in the bill are designed to get MAGA GOPers re-elected with the claim what cuts? I haven't seen any'. And those folks receiving Medicaid now are not going to be out there chopping cotton, harvesting tobacco or picking strawberries, because the large majority of them are elderly, infirm or both ...

Wait'll someone in, say, a rural car crash has to be life flighted 200 miles away and the family has to sell their house to pay for the chopper ride and medical care. Wanna visit a loved one? Better be prepared to drive a looooong way.

All this thanks to the "pro-life" folks.

I feel really sorry for the liberals in those rural areas, because they don't deserve the impending Find Out phase of this neoNazi regime. Everyone who voted for FDT, however, thoughts and prayers.

The plan is to time-bomb the cuts so they happen after the midterms, likely anticipating that the GCCCP would probably lose the House, and giving them an opportunity to blame Democrats for it all. A good plan, unless hospitals start to close earlier, just on the threat of cuts. In a rational world, this type of obvious mendacity wouldn't work, but we don't live in a country that happens to be rational, so it very possibly may be a topic we argue about with the DR fascists once they get their talking points from "new media." A little glimpse into our future, if you will.

Trouble is, most of the closures won't happen until 2027 and beyond.

    So what republicans say.

We are all gonna die anyway. Best to get it over with and decrease the surplus population.

The oligarchs are maniacal Malthusians. To them the hoi polloi are using up their precious oxygen, water, food, and resources. The superrich are vastly outnumbered. They know it and we know it: res.cloudinary.com
