Yeah, Pres Trump may have a problem with the Black voters who have supported him in the past, but is that just an indication of a more widespread, I'll say, concern about his policies and actions among a wider pool of voters?

Asked differently, is Pres Trump screwing up big time?

Nope. He owns the Supreme Court. That's all he needs.

@#8

I don't agree 100%, but more along the lines of 60-70% or so.

Only rating that mattered was on voting day. All this celebration of Trump's approval rating dropping is meaningless.

Trump barely lost in 2020, and that was only because of COVID. My impression is that if the 2024 election were held today, the results would be the same, with Trump waltzing into the White House.

The country hasn't had some great awakening. We're as much at the mercy idiot Ken Bones and Jill Stein/Ralph Nader voters today as we were then.

So fudge the voters who claim to have had some recent epiphany that Trump is a POS unsuited for the office.

Trump got what he wanted when Pennsylvania's voters pushed him over the Electoral College votes needed to be certified. (Was PA's vote rigged?) Black voters for Trump made significant impacts in Pennsylvania and Michigan. But as Trump the evangelical group before Election Day, "Vote for me now, and you'll never have to vote again."

That wasn't hyperbole " it's appearing more and more likely that Trump will either declare the end to elections, or create a system as Putin did in Russia where the outcome of elections will be predetermined, and voting will just be part kabuki dance to give the appearance of a fair contest.

@#10 ... All this celebration of Trump's approval rating dropping is meaningless. ...

I am not of the opinion that the current approval ratings are meaningless.

Nor do I "celebrate" those current approval ratings.

But I do look at them as an indication of future voting results.

For example, many of those polls cite "RV" a.k.a., registered voters. This far out from Election Day, that is the norm. Though some polls do seem to be more, for lack of a better word, progressive and poll "LV" a.k.a. likely voters. (Rasmussen Reports, are you listening?)

Polling LV this far from Election Day is not the norm. But there it is. And it still seems to show Pres Trump with a negative approval rating.

So, yeah, in some respects, I do not disagree with your comment about Pres Trump's approval rating dropping.

On the other hand, the drop looks to be so bad at this point for his polling that, at this point, can it just be explained away and ignored?

Yer up ....

Might that have something to do with trying to cover up a pedophile sex trafficking scandal? And massively failing?

I remember that approval rating on Insurrection Day (prediction: soon to be a national holiday established by the GOP to celebrate those misunderstood patriots), yet here we are.
