resident Donald Trump on Thursday called out Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) over Chicago's murder rate, saying, "[p]eople are desperate for me to stop the crime." "Governor Pritzker had 6 murders in Chicago this weekend. 20 people were shot. But he doesn't want to ask me for help. Can this be possible?" Trump posted on Truth Social. "The people are desperate for me to STOP THE CRIME, something the Democrats aren't capable of doing. STAY TUNED!!!" Trump's comments come more than two weeks after he deployed the National Guard and federal agencies to assist the Metropolitan Police Department with cracking down on crime in Washington, D.C. |
