The former president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, has been sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison after being found guilty of plotting a military coup.

Hi Redial: That's true, but I'm confident the Brazilians can handle whatever the Trump junta tries to do. BTW: The Brazilians seemed to enjoy the NFL game held there and Lady Gaga's free concert earlier this year. As long as progressives stick together across borders, we have a chance.

Maybe Brazil can now give the USA some lessons on how a democracy should function. But more likely the genie is out of the bottle and the USA is on a race to the bottom. Only an insane country would elect a madman who earlier orchestrated a failed coup attempt.
