Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The most underqualified individual to ever lead the US State Department, the vapid empty suit Marco Rubio, threatened to revoke the visas of foreigners visiting the US if they are celebrating the fortuitous demise of hatemongering good-for-nothing college dropout Charlie Kirk. Tragically, with all of the technologies available to the diabolical Dummkopf Trumpf junta, an army of ICE Sturmabteilung ready to carry out mass deportations, and an out-of-control police state budget, this idiotic time and money wasting threat is feasible, as unfortunate Palestinians studying in the US have discovered this year.

Ok, now bear with me "free speech absolutist" righties.

This is actually what the 1A is about. Because this is actual government censorship.

See now what you were supposed to be complaining about the entire time?

Most people aren't thinking about Charlie Kirk's death.

But, Republicans need to hang on to his death in order to keep the media focused on nothing else.

Especially not the fact senate republicans voted not to release the Epstein files on 09/10.

Or the fact Trump and republicans have tanked our economy.

Or the fact we've lost trillions in trade with other nations.

Or the fact Trump is robbing America.

Hell, there's been several other people killed in shootings since 09/10, including school students, and their deaths aren't even being acknowledged.

No. Charlie Kirk's death is advantageous for Trump and republicans.

Republicans are ghouls.

Is this where you try to convince yourself that it wasn't another rage-filled LGBTQ member who planned/executed another high profile shooting/murder? Are you going to try to tell us that the Trump Admin had Charlie killed so they could take advantage politically? Did Trump add one to the body count again like he did in Butler, PA?

Is this where you try to convince yourself

No need, I'm letting the facts speak for themselves.

Charlie Kirk's shooter is a far right lunatic and the Trump administration couldn't be happier to spin Kirk's death into an attack on democrats.

Right wing media has been lying about the facts surrounding Charlie Kirk's death starting with the Wall Street Journal publishing an article about the bullet shell being engraved with pro trans messaging.

We're witnessing a full blitz by the extreme right, led by Donald Trump, JD Vance and Stephen Miller to use Charlie Kirk's death to their advantage to attack the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, no talk about the MAGA kid in Denver who killed two students or the members of ICE who killed a father while dropping off their kid.

Face it.

The only reason you're pretending to give a shht about Charlie Kirk is because you're hoping to attack democrats and liberals.

Otherwise it's just another gun death amongst the countless gun deaths that occur in American on a daily basis.

Where do you draw a line at VISA revocation? I'm not trying to argue. I'm curious.

You answer my question with a question? I figured my question would be super simple for anyone who is as a big proponent of the first amendment as you've claimed to be.
Here's my answer to your question. The government may restrict the issuance of a visa based on speech but does not have the authority to revoke them based on speech once the person is within our borders. The first amendment is not limited to citizens and I'll refer you to Justice Francis Murphey's concurring opinion in Bridges v. Wixon.

Johnny Hotsauce,

Sorry. I meant to answer last night. Got distracted with something else and went to bed.

Here is my answer:

As a strong proponent of 1A we do not revoke VISA's simply because the applicants have repugnant viewpoints and may well hate this country. The viewpoints are repugnant but no criminal act has taken place So, yeah, I strongly oppose this. Moving forward ... .VISA's are residential access for a specified time period. Once a VISA expires all bets are off. One of the D- bags applies for a renewal? Nope. Get your America hating mixer celebrating ass out of this country and don't let the door hit your rear on the way out.

Punish? No. That's why I am so opposed to revoking VISA's. Among other things it sends a chilling message. What I was saying is that obtaining a VISA is a privilege, not a right. We should not extend the privilege of granting a VISA to people who have demonstrated hatred for our country and/or cheered the assassination of a public figure.

#28 | Posted by BellRinger at 2025-09-17 01:29 PM | Reply

#28 - look at that. We agree on something. I will just add that refusal to renew visas must be backed by a consistent policy.

For instance, the administration must not be allowed to reject renewal applications for anyone who expresses opinions of Kirk's death that the administration doesn't agree with but approve applications for those who express similar sentiment in regards to Melissa Hortman's death.

This administration has not shown me they can be trusted to act in such a non-partisan manner.
