Sanders: Saturday, millions of people are going to come out on a No Kings day. Speaker Johnson said this is a hate America rally because people are coming out expressing their concerns.. It's not a hate America rally, it's a love America rally. [image or embed]

In Texas, the No Kings rallies will be held at 2:00 PM. This being Texas, and this being the weekend, a lot of rednecked Yahoos are going to be drunk by then.

I hope that Abbott's Guardmen are up to the challenge.

My wife and I, as well as several others from our church, will be marching in today's 'No Kings' rally here in SoCal. While my wife will be carrying a sign with an image of any American flag on it and the phrase, 'Hate Has NO Home Here', I won't be carrying a sign as I'll be taking pictures. However, I will be wearing my 'Gulf of Mexico' T-shirt.

Do I get more if I show up in costume, have a sign, beat someone with a flagpole, -------- in public, smash windows of public buildings, spray police with bear spray, try to crush police in a revolving door or wear horns and call myself a shaman?

We just got back from the 'No Kings' rally, in our case we were down in Laguna Hills (there was no rally in Irvine as they have a rally every Sunday in front of city hall).

There were probably 2,000 to 3,000 people there. It covered the sidewalks, on both sides of the street, for about three city blocks, plus down some of the side streets and in other places where people could gather.

There were a lot of people in costume, inspired I guess by what's been happening in Portland for the last week or so.

Note that it was totally peaceful and there were no counter-protestors.

And my 'Gulf of Mexico' T-shirt was a hit, with many people asking if they could take a picture.
