John Catsimatidis, the Republican supermarket magnate and lifelong New Yorker, took to the airwaves of WABC-AM, the radio station he owns and where Curtis Sliwa hosts a show, to call for him to drop out.

Sliwa has always been about whatever's best for Sliwa.

Sliwa's claim to fame is he used to put on a ridiculous hat and beat up strangers on the subways with his gang. Why he thinks that qualifies him to be mayor we'll never know.

Hi Corky: Both of these dimwits belong in Dummkopf Trumpf's cabinet. Eric Adams may have taken the bait, we'll see if he is nominated for a US Ambassadorship somewhere.

The sheer fact that Dummkopf Trumpf wants Zohran Mamdani to lose means Zohran is on the side of the good guys. Us.

So why would any Democrat oppose Zohran Mamdani?

#5 | Posted by C0RI0LANUS at 2025-10-21 02:04 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 2

Republicans and Democrats, working together to sink a liberal candidate.

Not at all surprising.

Democrats since Bill Clinton have been following in the footsteps of Ronald Reagan.

Meanwhile republicans have become the party of fascism and dictators.

Mamdani is a threat to all of them.

Republicans, oligarchs, and AIPAC Democrats are throwing everything at Muslim Zohran Mamdani except the kitchen sink.

No wait, here it comes!

"Money" is scared squatless of Mamdani and everything he represents. And they're mad he's too clean to do the sort of hatchet job they did on Eliot Spitzer.

#6: My friend personally knows Eliot Spitzer and said he could have been the first Jewish POTUS. I never got the chance to meet Eliot Spitzer for various reasons, including he was too busy being NYS Governor and I was too busy being just an old ho-hum Army guy.

Even if Mr Sliwa drops out of the race, the current polling that I've seen still shows that Mr Mamdani would be ahead, though within the margin of error of the polling.

This evening's debate will be significant, imo.

My view ...

Mr Mamdani needs to maintain.

Mr Cuomo needs a knock-out.

Mr Silwa needs to show relevance.

I live near NY and would listen to Curtis and Kuby radio show on WABC at lunch (pre COVID). What a great show it was, and loved the 1pm hour where they dove into Trump and Russia every day!!!. Kuby was a liberal, but Sliwa is no Trump-lover as far as I know.

I don't know if he's qualified to be mayor, but he surely has the most street cred and knows the city like no one else (of those three).

As far as John Catsimatidis, he's a POS. Trump boot licker.

NYC's Final Mayoral Debate: Key Takeaways After Mamdani, Cuomo's Heated Clash"Updates
www.newsweek.com

... New York City's final mayoral debate kicked off with a bang on Wednesday as Democrat nominee Zohran Mamdani and former New York Governor and independent candidate Andrew Cuomo repeatedly clashed over their respective records and policies.

Cuomo attacked Mamdani's lack of experience, claiming that the candidate had never "accomplished anything," adding "you never had a job." Mamdani accused Cuomo of "creating his own facts" before laying into his record as governor, accusing him of failing to build enough new housing in New York City and branding him a "desperate man lashing out."

The bitter back-and-forth prompted moderator Errol Louis to remind the candidates that "they know how this works," and not to talk over each other. Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa, who has refused to bow to a pressure campaign from some Republicans to leave the race to give Cuomo a better chance in the polls, accused his rivals of "fighting like kids in the school yard." ...

OK, back in #10 I said that Mr Cuomo needs a knock-out.

I did not say that he needs to act like a major anal-pore.

And Mr Silwa seems to just be looking for fame.

Subsequent polling, and the results of the election, will be quite interesting.

... The three candidates running for mayor of New York City clashed bitterly in their second and final debate on Wednesday evening before Election Day.

Democrat Zohran Mamdani tried to maintain his lead and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa cast him as out of his league.

"Andrew Cuomo will spend much of tonight attacking me. He is a desperate man, lashing out because he knows that's the one thing he's always cared about. Power is now slipping away from him," Mamdani said.

Mamdani slammed Andrew Cuomo over a lack of vision but found himself literally surrounded.

"I did things. You have never had a job. You've never accomplished anything," Cuomo said. "There's no reason to believe you have any merit or qualification for 8.5 million lives. You don't know how to run a government. You don't know how to handle an emergency."

"The issue is that we have all experienced your experience. The issue is that we experienced you taking a $5 million book deal while you sent seniors to their deaths in nursing homes," Mamdani said.

"Zohran, your rsum could fit on a cocktail napkin. And, Andrew, your failures could fill a public-school library in New York City," Sliwa said.

Throughout the debate, Sliwa blasted both men as Cuomo and Mamdani bickered over who would best stand up to a hostile President Donald Trump.

"I will fight him every single step of the way," Mamdani said.

"He has no respect for Zohran. He thinks he's a kid and he's going to knock him on his tuches," Cuomo said.

When both men said they still supported keeping juveniles out of adult court, Sliwa was incensed.

"So how can both of you look at me? I almost lost my oldest son to gang violence, and the perpetrators went to family court and got a little pat on the wrist and was sent home to do it again and again," Sliwa said.

For the first time, Mamdani joined the others, saying he had asked Jessica Tisch to continue as NYPD commissioner.

"Commissioner Tisch took on a broken status quo, starting to deliver on accountability, rooting out corruption and reducing crime across the five boroughs," Mamdani said.

Then why wasn't he held accountable? Something is off with this one, because it's too much of a coincidence that he was facing a lot more scrutiny just before these allegations for shoving sick people into nursing homes.

No, these allegations weren't just verbal harassment, they were sexual assault. These are criminal and leaving office doesn't relieve him of prosecution.

But do carry on...

"These are criminal and leaving office doesn't relieve him of prosecution."

It puts him out of the position to keep using the power of his office to abuse people.

"So, Bibi! How goes the Gaza genocide?"

"Good, good, Andy; we'll kill 72,000 cockroaches by the end of the year! We're gonna have a real estate bonanza next year! And you with the campaign for mayor, prishmishkin?"

"Um, can you make it 72,000 and one, Bibi?"

Gosh, I wonder where all the high-powered Democrats are and why some of them took the time to praise Dummkopf Trumpf via social media for getting 20 or so Israeli hostages released, but NONE of them have come to NYC to campaign for FELLOW DEMOCRAT Zohran Mamdani nor have they endorsed him with just weeks to go in the election. A simple social media post would do it. Curious.

That's what the allegations were all about. A smokescreen to deflect attention away from scrutiny of his Covid nursing home disaster. A convenient off-ramp. Notice how nothing followed these allegations after he left the governor's mansion?

Meanwhile, being in office does relieve the office holder of prosecution when it's Trump, and you like it that way.

People can have two disasters, at the same time.

Look at Trump. He's overseeing about five disasters right now. Six when the first hurricane hits.

"A convenient off-ramp."

Yeah that's why he just acquiesced right up front, instead of trying to fight off his own constituents, week after week.

You can't actually say what Cuomo should have done differently when it comes to COVID. Just that you don't like what he did. So that's not really a valid criticism, because you haven't offered a better alternataive.
