Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The Old State Saloon in Eagle, a suburb of Boise, Idaho, is rewarding snitches who collaborate with ICE: "Anyone who helps ICE identify and ultimately deport an illegal from Idaho gets FREE BEER FOR ONE MONTH at Old State Saloon!" The small-town watering hole added that it "may award multiple months to one person if multiple illegals are deported."

Saloon owner Mark Fitzpatrick posted: "Any illegal who'd like to self-deport may have one free beer before ICE responds to Old State Saloon to pick you up."

Any customers who snitch to ICE on migrants should send "a detailed email with any evidence, photos, videos, summary of events, dates and times" to the bar's email.

DHS appeared to support the miscreant's efforts by resharing the original post with a GIF. The bar then replied, "Let's go! Deport them all!"

Two Samaritans responded:

"You would have turned in Anne Frank," wrote one; "that's a cheap price to sell your soul," another said.

Population of Eagle: 38,830; Boise, Idaho: 238,443

In 2024, the saloon's owner, Mark Fitzpatrick, held "Heterosexual Awesomeness Month" and gave discounts and free beer to heterosexual men and women. Samaritans are encouraged to send their thoughts and prayers to this hatemonger at his website: Send Spam Here

No vaccine mandate, lots of firearms, and plenty of white supremacist gangs in Idaho:

Patriot Front (statewide)
Proud Boys (statewide)
G416 Patriots (Meridian)
Lordship Church (Coeur d'Alene)
Independent History and Research (Coeur d'Alene)
The Brother Nathanael Foundation (Priest River)
The Aryan Knights

Idaho Firearms Licenses in 2021: 76,425; 60.1% of Idaho adults have guns at home.

This is another fly-over state my wife will bever come near. And if I recall correctly, there are at least two border crossings with Canada whose CBSA officers must be wary of these potato-headed meshuggenehs.

There are douchenozzles like this in the very "enlightened" state where ---- and his wife reside.

In Idaho, they can avoid living in the shadows but don't fool yourself...they're everywhere.

I'm well aware they are everywhere to some degree.

But apparently not enough to keep a business afloat on bigotry.

Idaho is also an extremely well-known haven for white supremacists and militia types.

Idaho. The south of the Northwest.

It gets more south as you go north. It's still 1950 in the panhandle.

And if I recall correctly, there are at least two border crossings with Canada

Yep... Porthill and Eastport.

And that scares you so much you'd never visit Idaho for any reason? Coeur d'Alene is a beautiful place.

You'd let politics get in the way of an opportunity to see it?

Or is it real fear?

We are season ticket holders for Kansas State Football.

At one of the major intersections beside the stadium there is a new "God hates ----" type of church who stand there and hold up their signs on game days.

I would never let those ------------- keep me from attending.......and I enjoy having a little fun with them.....

I have been to Idaho. It's a beautiful state. Headquarters for the Nazis used to be there. The Nazis are still very active there.

North Idaho was the headquarters for the notorious Aryan Nations, led by Richard Butler, until a civil lawsuit in 2000 bankrupted the organization and forced the sale of its compound. However, the ideology did not disappear entirely.

Womp womp.

I wasn't the one who said it. I'm just pointing out it's more than snobbery at play and doesn't have to be fear as there are many other emotions that can be evoked by neo nazis.

In any case, I've been to Coeur d'Alene. It is beautiful and the town was at the time very nice. Skied the Rockies for the first time in my life on that trip at a place called Silver Mountain.

What are the other fly-over states your wife will avoid, ----?

I'm pointing that it's really not more than snobbery and you just confirmed it.

Avoiding visiting Idaho is the equivalent of Boaz never setting foot in California and telling Californians to go --- themselves.

#20 | Posted by eberly

No matter what I said it would "confirm it."

Your California attempt only shows you're stretching, you're just not aware of it.

BTW how would I confirm anything if I've been there?

Yeah, the one or two decent breweries or restaurants or cool things to see isn't worth the rest.

But I guess that makes me a snob according to Ebs.

You've repeatedly tried to stand in for ---- and give his wife's reasons for not wanting to visit Idaho and concluding it's not snobbery.

LOL

Fair enough.

-Yeah, the one or two decent breweries or restaurants or cool things to see isn't worth the rest.

Hey, you gave your own reasons. Now you can give me ----'s wife's reasons for not wanting to visit. LOL

Not worth it for me. Nazis are my mortal enemies. Pretty sure any confrontation with one would not end well for at least one of us.

Maybe she's a minority and doesn't want to visit a state known for being a white supremacist haven.

If the bar mentioned in this article has sufficient patronage from the town to stay open, doesn't that say a lot about the state of agreement of the people in the town? Is it snobby to find that repugnant?

Re 28

She was very nice about it. I am pretty sure I will end up in jail if/when they come to my street.

It wasn't that long ago that standing your ground, especially on your own property, was a patriotic thing and practically your duty.

Now it is just "obstruction of justice ".

Thank you for the air cover, JPW. *Killfile* prevents me from being infected with troll blather.

My wife and I wouldn't travel to Idaho because we wouldn't like a state rife with white supremacists, firearms everywhere (60% of Idahoans own guns), and unvaccinated people spreading diseases. If that's snobbery, color us snobs.

BTW: The troll you deal with misspells the name of one of Shakespeare's greatest plays.

Remarkable.
