FTA:

The instant resolution put forward by Congressman Al Green (D-TX) did not mention the illegal attacks on Venezuela or Iran, but listed the following two grave articles:

The first accused Dummkopf Trumpf of abusing presidential power by calling for the "execution of members of Congress" in response to a video posted by several Democratic lawmakers. Trumpf's post on Truth Social, which stated "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH," drew condemnation, though the White House later clarified he did not seek executions.

The second article accused the Dotard Trumpf of threatening judicial independence by attacking federal judges online, an action the resolution claims led to threats of violence against judges.

Why are House Democrats again protecting this vulgarian from impeachment proceedings? What other weapons do we have against the Fourth Reich? Fer Chrissake, whose side are these Democrats on? Do these 23 Democrats like war, an imminent invasion of Venezuela, threats against judges and politicians, idiotic tariffs, rising prices, Trumpf Crime Family (TCF) corruption, ICE abuse, lack of affordable healthcare for Americans, and tax cuts for the oligarchs?

"The vote enraged Democrats, many of whom despise the increasingly caustic use of impeachment as a political tool but don't want to be seen as supporting Dummkopf Trumpf's actions and risk angering the party base.

"I hate it," one senior House Democrat said.

"This is not a team effort," another House Democrat complained. "It puts us in a difficult position."

"I think Trumpf has committed a number of impeachable offenses, but the impeachment process needs to be preceded by investigation, deliberation, a lot more process," said Rep. James Walkinshaw (D-Va.), who voted "present" on the motion.

Walkinshaw, added that Republicans, who control both chambers of Congress, "have shown that they're not willing to hold Trumpf accountable, I don't think they're going to change their perspective."

"We're going to have to beat him at the ballot box in November 2026," he said.

"If you see a member of the Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere".

Yeah! That's the way!

Impeach?

Too soon. Trump isn't through hanging himself yet. We have to wait until after the mid-terms and make sure we have a conviction-proof majority in the Senate.

From the cited article ...

... Despite Democrats consistent criticisms and outrage at Trump and his administration, many are hesitant about pursuing impeachment of the president, as previous impeachments are viewed by many as having backfired. ...

Backfired?

That seems to be what those Democrats need to explain.

And the explanations should be in the context of why the Congressional Democrats are viewed so lowly by their constituents.

Oops, things seemed to have changed since I last looked ...

2026 Generic Congressional Vote
www.realclearpolling.com

...
RCP Average 11/5 - 12/8
Democrats: 45.6
Republicans: 41.9
Democrats: +3.7
...

But that does not represent the opinion of the Democrats currently in Congress ...

For example ...

Chuck Schumer: Favorable/Unfavorable
www.realclearpolling.com

...
RCP Average 10/1 - 12/4
Favorable: 27.7
Unfavorable: 50.3
Spread: -22.6
...

That's a leader of the Democrats in Congress, and his approval rating is worse than Pres Trump's approval rating.

@#7 ... We have to wait until after the mid-terms ...

I'm not yet of the opinion that 2026 will flip the Senate.

Flipping the House, at this point, that looks likely. But I do emphasize "at this point."

There are still 11 months until Election Day.

11 months to screw the country up worse?

Trump's got that covered.

Bloodbath for the Republicans.

I think both houses of Congress will flip by several votes.

Giving the Democrats a clear Congressional majority in both the House and Senate.

Making Trump the Lamest Of all Possible Lame Ducks.

Winning.

The real question, of course, is does Trump deserve impeachment?

What's your take on that, Quisling?

LAMP

"I'm not yet of the opinion that 2026 will flip the Senate."

Nor am I. But, although Trump's name isn't actually on any ballot, those who still cling to his coattails, especially about the economy, can be assumed guilty by association in the midterms.

That would be the best case scenario.

However, considering short term memories and the fragility of public opinion, my guess is that Trump is going to sway public opinion with extra money in their mail box (so to speak) under the guise of helping constituents overcome "Biden's inflation."

Surprisingly, even though it clearly amounts to buying votes, that usually works. As I said above, short memories.

That's why I said "wait" until Trump digs his own grave so deep that public opinion cannot be swayed with money.

We also have to keep in mind that "Impeachment" is just another word for "Assassination." If I recall, Trump got a lot of propaganda value out of (2) failed attempts of both impeachments and assassinations.
