"In so doing, he is stirring the public out of an apathy that is essential to any power grab. Someone once remarked that Trump's incompetence outruns his malevolence. That observation's salience is on full display."

and

"The legitimate fear is that Trump will rig the US midterm elections this November to stop a widely forecast Republican defeat.

But he is robbing himself of the means to get away with it. The meta-tool available to him is public gullibility.

Enough people must be willing to believe that ballot boxes are being stuffed, or illegal immigrants are being bussed to the polling booths, for any shenanigans to work.

The hollow people working for him are wrecking that tool with easily discredited propaganda."

Of course, none of Trump's LIES are easily discredited to his Cult... fortunately, they aren't anywhere near a majority, and swing voters plus patriotic Lincoln Project Republicans aren't so easily fooled.

... Easily discredited propaganda ...

Yeah, that seems to be what is currently being discovered about the Trump Admin.

A question of, "~believe what we tell you to believe~ vs. ~believe your own eyes in the videos you see.~

Pres Trump seems to have gotten away with that approach regarding J6 (~peaceful demonstrators~).

But, now it seems to be more of a ~Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me~ type of issue.

PEDO DONNIE will kill as many Americans as it takes to avoid releasing the Epstein files. He is an enemy of the people. Plan accordingly.

Murder is murder, and the angle of the shooting from the phone of Stella Carlson showed clearly that two agents waiting until he had been disarmed before they executed him.
And don't forget this has an audience of two...Trump and his patron Putin. Putin wants chaos in America, wants us divided one from another and from our allies, so when Trump is being boxed in and the media is full of conflict...it serves Putin's hateful agenda totally.

The latest spin from the WH about last weekend's shooting made the ICE/CBP shooters out to be Jack Friday, rather than Wyatt Earp, as seen in the videos. It ain't so. Dems in the Senate have little leverage to get what they want regarding de-funding ICE. Instead they should demand, among other things
-no masks, ever
-consistent uniforms, no cosplayers
-every officer has consistent badges, emblems including rank, and NAME TAGS
-everyone hired in the past 14 months gets re-trained according to standards in place during the Biden and Obama administrations
-all vehicles used clearly marked
-warrants for all detentions and arrests
-arraignment before a judge within 24 hours for all non-citizens and all citizens released immediately unless local law enforcement files charges
-supervisory reports filed daily, documenting arrests, use of force, use of crowd control actions and all discharged firearms

Of course, the MAGA functionaries will have big problems with this, since, well, that's how the police act...

I am so tired of this idiocracy and the mental illness being inflicted on "conservatives". Easily discredited doesn't mean anything when the followers have already drank the Kool-aid. They just keep saying "Give me some more!"

A couple of my truly good life long friends use right wing media and they have a lot of right wing friends and are in the social media echo chamber. They spout lies and they don't want to listen until you hit them with a hard fact and that only temporarily puts them off keel. It's brainwashing.

Prime example and frustrating conversation from prior to Pretti's execution: I was talking about Minnesota with one of them. And he was spouting all the right wing nonsense about Good. "She was a paid protestor from Colorado, what was she doing there? How can she afford to be there is she isn't being paid?" I then just went and got into that with him. I hit him with his information was all lies. First She was originally from Colorado but lived in that neighborhood. I then said she just dropped her kids off at school, it was basically outside her house and so on. "I didn't know all that." Well no shit you didn't because you are in the information cesspool. Then as soon as he digests that "She still drove at him. I know what it's like to have to make split second decisions." And I said a "normal person" in a volatile situation and not a mouth breathing cromagnon would have got out of the way. He could see her moving, he could see her turning the wheel and he could see her shifting while looking at the moron she was talking to. And to top it all of a Trained Law Enforcement Officer wouldn't have been there in the first place - not even a well trained one, just a trained one. He didn't like that for some reason.

Then yesterday I am talking on the phone with someone else I knew was brainwashed but I hear his radio in the background talking about how 80% of Somalis are autistic. I mean where do they get this stuff? Why would anyone even listen to such obvious BS?

"The entire Trump project - and to a larger extent the MAGA movement"is at its core an exercise in collective delusion. The whole enterprise rests on Americans rejecting the very facts staring them in the face."
