Another is Julie K. Brown of the Miami Herald

en.wikipedia.org

... Julie Knipe Brown (born 1961) is an American investigative journalist with the Miami Herald best known for pursuing the sex trafficking story surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, who in 2008 was allowed to plead guilty to two state-level prostitution offenses.[1][2] She is the recipient of several awards including two George Polk Awards for Justice Reporting.[3]

Brown was included in Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2020.[4] ...

Investigation into Jeffrey Epstein

Brown has been credited with re-opening the Jeffrey Epstein sexual abuse case with a series of reports published in November 2018.[9][10][11] She began investigating Epstein in early 2017 and persisted in uncovering facts about the large number of accusers and the pressure campaign to silence them.[12][13] Brown uncovered 80 potential victims (as young as 13 and 14 years old when the abuse occurred) and documented the eight individuals who agreed to tell their stories.[13]

In 2008, Epstein had been allowed to plead guilty to only two state-level prostitution offenses, even though sex with underage girls is legally rape. The secret deal that then-US Attorney Alex Acosta struck with Epstein made the federal sex trafficking charges disappear, shut down an FBI probe that might have uncovered dozens of victims and granted immunity to any possible co-conspirators, a clause that protected powerful men.[2] Brown's 2018 reporting on the deal sparked criticism of Acosta, who by then had become the United States secretary of labor, and there was pressure for him to resign. He eventually resigned after Epstein was arrested and charged in July 2019.[14] ...

The cover up is brazen because it has to be. There is an entire system of powerful men who have decided that being rich entitles you to have sex with kids. Unless the rest of world descends to their level of degeneracy, failure of the cover-up will ruin an unknown (but likely great) number of lives that needs to be ruined.

The Guardians Of Pedophiles are doing their jobs dutifully.

Every MAGA is a pedophile protector. You can't run from that ---- like you did with Dubya.

As soon as Operation Epic Distraction is over this needs to be back in the headlines so the Epstein perps can all be exposed.

The Jeffrey Epstein/Ghislaine Maxwell cover-up parallels the 1960s JFK assassination investigation and useless Warren Commission.

Intrepid journalist and expert panelist on What's My Line Dorothy Mae Kilgallen (3 July 1913 - 8 November 1965)-- a young mother of three -- allegedly committed suicide while she was investigating JFK's murder, concentrating not on "patsy" Lee Harvey Oswald but on Jack Ruby as the key to the crime.

It's truly a wonder that Ghislaine Maxwell still walks and breathes.

Just wait til she gets her pardon on trump's last day in office.

His cult will still say it doesn't prove anything.

She hasn't blabbed, so no Tom Hagen visit suggesting suicide or mysterious prison death. Yet.

We don't know what Todd Blanche told Maxwell since we only have audio recordings that don't preclude notes he slid her.

Hi AU:

Remember that classic, but subtle, scene when Tom Hagen adjusts his necktie after Carlo sits in the sedan? www.youtube.com

I do!

BTW, my wife and I watched a great miniseries on the making of The Godfather, "The Offer." The twists and turns, mafia involvement behind the scenes, etc etc etc.

If you are a Godfather fan, watch The Offer. It's excellent in every regard!

Why DOJ Hasn't Charged Anyone Else From the Epstein Files
www.politico.com

... The release of the Epstein files was supposed to quell the controversy over whether the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein committed child sex crimes with a host of wealthy, prominent men. But more than a month after the release, something like the opposite has happened.

A variety of public figures in the U.S. have incurred professional and reputational consequences as a result of socializing with Epstein after his 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution with a minor. So far, however, none of these people have been credibly accused of any criminal wrongdoing or being aware of Epstein's subsequent child sex trafficking.

In Europe, things are only slightly different. Law enforcement authorities across the continent have opened investigations into prominent political figures concerning their dealings with Epstein, but thus far, those investigations appear to concern alleged political misconduct " like sharing confidential government information with Epstein or receiving gifts from him " not sex crimes.

Meanwhile, as entirely new conspiracy theories have begun to flourish, pretty much no one in America is happy -- not the victims who were insulted by Attorney General Pam Bondi during her latest daylong series of outbursts on Capitol Hill;

not President Donald Trump, who effectively created this mess by fueling Epstein conspiracies as a presidential candidate and who remains the subject of intense scrutiny based on unverified allegations against him in the documents that he has strenuously denied;

not the American public, most of whom believe that the government is still hiding information;

and not the lawmakers who drafted and ultimately passed the law requiring disclosures with the near-unanimous consent of their colleagues in both houses of Congress.

In a remarkable bipartisan rebuke, the House Oversight Committee voted last week to subpoena Bondi to testify with five Republicans joining the Democrats on the committee over the objection of Chair James Comer (R-Ky.). ...

@#12 ... In a remarkable bipartisan rebuke, the House Oversight Committee voted last week to subpoena Bondi to testify with five Republicans joining the Democrats on the committee over the objection of Chair James Comer (R-Ky.). ...

From what I've heard, AG Bondi's appearance to testify will be a deposition, not a hearing. A deposition is a formal legal proceeding, as opposed to a hearing which is a political event.

Quite a revealing article.

Victims (and the reporter) being followed by private investigators, one of the PI's offering the reporter coke, cash, and shoving his hand up her skirt ...

When the two women met (reporter and victim), Andriano said she had just been visited by a private investigator " a man in his 60s, who had heard she was talking to someone about a book. In a restaurant that afternoon, Osborne-Crowley was approached by a man in his 60s. What was she writing, he wanted to know. He offered her drugs, cash and a meeting with one of Epstein's pilots, then put his hands under her skirt. When the manager asked him to leave, he waited in the car park; Osborne-Crowley had to escape through a staff exit.

"According to journalist Lucia Osborne-Crowley, two women withdrew from her book after receiving threats, with one statement indicating Maxwell used to tell victims: "If you ever tell anyone what's going on here, no matter how far into the future, we will find you and we will stop you". Maria Farmer's affidavit also stated that Maxwell had repeatedly threatened both her career and her life after the assault.

Osborne-Crowley said this was only a taste of what Epstein's victims had experienced, with 28 survivors releasing a statement in November 2025 about receiving death threats and requesting police protection.

As for who hired the private investigator, Osborne-Crowley suggested, "It could be any of the people who are not yet facing charges."

Why did Todd Blanche give Maxwell a sweetheart move to a cushier prison? A sex offender! Never happens for other scumbags ...

Could it be a *cough cough* former client of his (now POTUS) could be implicated by her?

And why didn't they videotape Blanche's interview of Maxwell? Audio doesn't cut it. He could easily have slid her notes.

@#17 ... Why did Todd Blanche give Maxwell a sweetheart move to a cushier prison? ...

I remain to be convinced that it was Dep AG Blanche who made the decision to move Ms Maxwell from an appropriate prison to a "Club Fed" spa-like facility where she seems to have room service.

@#17 ... And why didn't they videotape Blanche's interview of Maxwell? Audio doesn't cut it. He could easily have slid her notes ...

Not only that aspect.

But the start of the audio recording could have been delayed while certain, let's say, details were worked out.

And then I have heard that Dep AG Blanche is a personal friend of Maxwell's attorney, David Oscar Markus.

Found this ...

Todd Blanche's past hangs over him as top DOJ official on Epstein case (July 2025)
www.npr.org

... In June 2024, Blanche appeared as a guest on Markus' podcast, "For The Defense."

"Everybody knows who Todd is," Markus says in the opening moments of the episode. "And he's the first guest on 'For The Defense' to appear twice, so welcome to the show, Todd."

The two discussed Blanche's legal work for Trump, including at his criminal trial in New York where he was convicted on 34 counts in a hush money case.

Toward the end of the episode, Blanche calls Markus a friend and they joke about him becoming the show's first three-peat guest. ...

Epstein's accountant just testified to a House committee.

Afterwards, he was asked if settlement money was paid to any of victims who accused Trump of sexual assault.

"Yes"
