Iran had destroyed a key radar used by the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense, or Thaad, system in Jordan.

That seems to have caused a bit of a stir.

"US may move its anti-missile system out of South Korea"

US Allies Near China on Edge as Weapons Shift From Asia to Iran
www.bloomberg.com

... When the US pulled its only aircraft carrier based in Asia to support the military surge in Afghanistan back in 2010, allies in the region had little concern that China or North Korea might look to take advantage.

Today things are different.

As the US continues to pour weapons into the Middle East for military operations against Iran, current and former defense officials in Asia are growing concerned that more American firepower will be shifted over time if the war drags on.

And even if fighting wraps up soon, they warned that depleted stockpiles of munitions could also take years to replace, leaving Taiwan and other places vulnerable. ...

Iran took out a major radar station... probably the spare that they need.

Iran has taken out our major radar station

Iran has destroyed 4 or 5 of our radar systems associated with our THAAD systems which are all of those systems in the ME

Israel is running out or has run out of it's primary ballistic missile interceptors

So, umm yeah

Japan gets 95% of its oil from ME

Japan has about 8 months supply of oil in reserve

Japan is facing a massive economic problem-entire industries shutting down.

Japan started WW2 to secure oil

Japan allied with the US after WW2 because we could secure their oil supply

Japan is ------

It's increasingly obvious that simpleton Donny and his merry band of idiots are getting epically played by China and Russia.

The US is willfully depleting it's capabilities to enforce any level of world order or live up to obligations to allies. At this rate, Taiwan can kiss its a&& goodbye and all other allies in tricky spots shouldn't count on any level of backing from the US any longer.

The free for all that will result in the US being knocked off its pedestal isn't going to work out well for anyone.

America spends a trillion dollars per year on defense and we run out of the critical munition in a week

UN FUCING BELIEVABLE

And we do not have the industrial capacity to ramp up production

And the munitions rely on minerals controlled by China

This is criminal negligence of the highest order

Less than $900 billion in 2024.

Now, tables reversed you would have screamed that I was Lying and would have called me a cunt 11 times in the process.

American bases are being knocked out due to lack of defensive interceptor resources.

That means we have to or will soon have to pull our planes from front line bases, meaning we redeploy them to where? Israel? Cyprus?

By knocked out I mean rendered unusable due to lack of security from missiles and drones. Losing 5 tanker aircraft in Saudi Arabia is an example. Even if they were only lightly damaged, we can't operate from air field subject to regular air assault!

This fucking fiasco is getting to be disastrous.

if Iran is able to continue being successful along these lines, I don't know but it won't be good.

The U.S. defense budget for FY 2026 is seeing significant proposed increases, with discussions surrounding a $1.5 trillion total, aimed at enhancing military capabilities amid rising global tensions. This represents a potential ~50% increase over earlier 2026 projections, heavily investing in defense modernization, advanced aircraft, and space operations

FY 2024"2025 Context: The U.S. spent approximately $874 billion in FY 2024, and total national defense spending was pushed over $1 trillion in 2025 with supplemental funds.

Yeah, you're a cunt

It's making us look like Russia looked when it invaded Ukraine.

And, my guess, is that we've been drawn in to similarly destroy our prestige and hollow out our capabilities like Russia in Ukraine.

And people like ballwasher cheer it.

STFU idiot. I haven't cheered this at all. I fear it's going to end up being a hugely costly fiasco. Maybe if your mind wasn't perpetually on truckers' dongs your reading comprehension wouldn't be so bad.
