Unauthorized drones were spotted flying over Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB) in Bossier multiple times during the week of March 9, Air & Space Forces Magazine reported. On March 9, BAFB implemented a "shelter-in-place" order following reports of unmanned aircraft flying within the base's airspace. BAFB is a B-52 bomber base that is home to the 2nd Bomb Wing and the Air force Reserve's 307th Bomb Wing. A 2nd Bomb Wing spokesperson confirmed on March 20 that "multiple unauthorized incursions" have happened since the initial drones were seen, according to Air & Space Forces Magazine. |
