Short article.
Trump's lost support in every sector of the electorate. Independents and young voters have fled MAGA/GOP in record numbers.

"Trump Approval Drops to Record Low"
Is there anyone on the DR who once approved of Trump, but now doesn't?
I truly doubt any of the DR Trumpers could ever stop supporting Trump.

DR's batch of deplorable Trumping MAGAts are part of the 20% of Americans who still blindly defend all things Trump.

Trump's plummeting popularity makes it harder for whatever crimes he uses to steal the midterms to work.
Pennies from Heaven.

People are comparing how the Republican party turned on Nixon back in the 70s so the R party must have been more morally decent back then than they are today.
But I disagree. As I remember it, the Republican party stuck with Nixon thru his crimes and only turned on him when his polling reached 25%. So it wasn't the Republican party that showed a level of morality that the Republican party lacks today, it was the general public that showed a level of morality back then that the general public lacks today.
And I'm tired of pretending otherwise.

In the 1972 election, fmr Pres Nixon won in 49 states.
Quite the turnaround --- from such a landslide victory to such a low approval rating.

As I remember it, the Republican party stuck with Nixon thru his crimes and only turned on him when his polling reached 25%.
The final straw was when he fired the special prosecutor. The resignations of the AG and Deputy AG before Robert Bork stepped up and fired Cox lead to Congress opening investigations. Public outcry for impeachment led the GOP to step in and inform him that if he did not resign he would be impeached and likely go to prison. I don't know what Nixon was polling at that time though but I cannot imagine it was good.
It was set up for Ford to pardon Nixon to "end our long national nightmare" which has set the precedent for all the criminal activities we've seen from Reagan, HW, W and now Pedo47.
Letting Nixon off the hook for his crimes and allowing him to rehabilitate his image as a statesman was the first in a long series of mistakes that have told presidents they are above law.
Corrupt Roberts only made it official with his ruling Pedo is immune from crimes he commits while in office.

At this point, who cares? We all know he sucks. We know anyone with two functional neurons to rub together knows he sucks.
But it doesn't matter because he's surrounded by sycophants to tell him his excuses and delusions of grandeur are true and they'll continue to do whatever they want anyway untethered from any desire to gain support from the electorate.
