Two comments ...
1) that does not sound like Iran's "unconditional surrender" (a stated goal of Pres Trump) to me.
2) the retribution your alias mentions (obliterate) also runs counter to what Pres Trump said going into his war. He effectively said to the Iranian people, ~I have your back.~ Now he seems to want to obliterate those same people?

You still have to put them somewhere useful, you have to deploy large ones, you can only do a few at a time because you're down to glorified speedboats, and the middle of the channel is one of the most heavily observed places on earth.
I'd be a lot more worried about anti-ship missiles hiding in the mountains behind Hormuz.
