I get why people use satire to cope with absurd situations, but I don't understand why many people are so addicted to impressions of Trump, whether its SNL, or talk show hosts, or Youtubers. It stopped being funny a long ago.

But here's the thing... ya see it's show biz... and with Trumpanzee the writer's union has grown lazy... because they don't have to write anything... comedians pro and amateur..they simply riff ... with an impersonation... no matter how awful... and use his exact words... so it's not so much satire as mimicry.

Trump just threatened to have Robert De Niro deported for talking trash about him.
He's recently called MTG, Boebert, Thomas Massie, and Mother Tucker everything but white people.

It gets under his orange-sprayed skin no matter how much attention it gets him; attention to his scams and corruption and Pedo Pal Past is no longer all that good for him... a wash at worst now.

I mean, his endorsement is a death knell in quite few Republican Districts for quite a few GOP Candidates these days.

Except Texas, maybe, where Paxson is another of his corrupt cronies.

I think it does because he's narcissistic.

I think his antics are derived from a business concept for problem solving back in the 80's when he was in his prime. It went like this... ahem... You can easily solve a problem by creating a bigger problem.

It was a staple of seminars and workshops... voodoo economics...

He is struggling to keep people from finding out his perversions... unless it's manly and a sign of prowess to pang a 13year-old... outside West Virginia or the Arab Emirates...
