The weekend's UFC fight in honor of the Emperor Donald's birthday is about more than his obsessive love for big, powerful men, men with tears in their eyes saying, "Mr. President, sir, would you like to touch my rock-solid abs?" It's about the fall of Rome, and that of America. The decline of Rome didn't begin when the Goths crossed the frontier or rival nations nibbled the edges of the Empire. It began when the Republic died, and Emperors with boundless self-regard and poor impulse control adopted theatrical personas and were told they were gods, not men.

The great crisis of Rome wasn't merely military weakness, economic collapse, or political corruption. Those were symptoms of a deeper and more pernicious disease. The ruling class lost faith in the institutions that had built the Republic and discovered something far more intoxicating: spectacle and corruption. When governing a far-flung empire became difficult, performance became easier. When problems became unsolvable, distractions became the irresistible tool to settle the restive plebs. If everyone was corrupt, from the Emperor on down, money set the terms of power.

Thank you to the Jew haters for proving my point.
Jew haters gotta hate them some Jews.
And their enablers sit quiet... because the Jew haters are oh so "educated," "smooth talking," and filled with hate for Jews.
And then there's the flip side of the Drudge Retort anti-Semite cohort ...
"All Jews are horrible!" - anti-Semite -------- who want to see Trump prevail.
"All Democrats (the "DNC," etc.) are horrible, worse than Republicans!" - anti-Semite -------- who want to see Trump prevail.
And shrimpy applauds riotously.

Gosh, apparently, there are some here who get their panties in a wad when I post a direct link to a YouTube video, instead of just posting a meaningless link to www.youtube.com without so much as a descriptor.
You're welcome.

This full album of Dark Side Of The Moon is dedicated to all those who traveled to their nearest planetarium for the Friday or Saturday night laser light show.
For me it was the The Bishop Planetarium.

On Sunday, April 30, 1972, my HS girlfriend, oldest brother, his then-wife, and I were seated on the 50-yard line of Tampa Stadium, about halfway up, for a concert by Rod Stewart and the Faces!

I've been hanging around here for 19 years, I think, my seniority notwithstanding. I was here before under the name Domingo_B, but I couldn't get in under that name when I wanted to come back and didn't want to bother RCade, so I just changed it. If Hans were around, or His Friend, he could find my posts, starting in 2007 or 8.
Point being, I've not seen anti-Semitism on this site: real Jew-hating. From any poster, anytime.
Jews aren't Israel and vice versa.
On the matter of Coriolanus, if he went to Bronx Science back in the 60s or 70s, I'd wager at least half of his high school buddies were Jewish -- and I'm sure they got along just fine.

I don't know much about Cyndi Lauper, except I think she did one of the great covers of all time.
Joni Mitchell's "Carey." Totally changed the vibe of a fantastic song:

Somebody on drudge.com is still stalking poor Coriolanus and smearing the beleaguered Shakespearean as an antisemite?
Encroyable!
I attended a few of my HS reunions and my friends go to my website or here to read my musings, so they are all laughing at the trolls. Everybody knows I fight for the underdog, whether they are Jews being put on trains, convicts being strapped into gurneys for the last time, Ukrainians getting attacked, or Palestinians getting slaughtered.
There are a few real human beings on this modest site whose OPs I enjoy reading or chatting with, you included. The others know who they are. So, thanks for the air support, Dbt2.
