I'm finally leaving Ulaanbaatar and it's time to go straight south to the Gobi desert! The last, vast, desolate desert on this journey to Japan, I am beyond stoked!

The large lovable dog at the Yurt stay at the end is a Mongolian Bankhar...

"They are fiercely protective, loyal to their human families, and formidable enough to fend off wolves, snow leopards, and eagles. Despite their tough working reputation, they are remarkably gentle and affectionate with their owners."

(and unlike many large dogs, they can live 15 t0 18 years)

Beautiful scenery before she gets to the sand desert Gobi.

Re 5 (mustangs don't count!)

Why no love for Mustangs? They can count up to 4 like any other horse.

(I have fondness for mustangs as I owned one once named Nicodemus.)

Also I think I love this Ms Itchy Boots. (Don't tell my wife)
