When President Donald Trump arrives in the Black Hills of South Dakota to deliver a speech on the eve of America's 250th anniversary at Mount Rushmore, it will be at a time when the century-old monument is in dire need of maintenance. The national landmark, which features 60-foot-tall faces of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt carved into the granite mountain, has $57 million in deferred maintenance needs, according to the National Park Service. |
