Donald Trump was finally forced to admit that the $400 million plane given to him by Qatar to use as Air Force One is not as secure as the older models he has repeatedly criticized.

Rumors are that the dark blue underbelly of the plane has started to turn algae-green ...

They just brought it out for Lewzer's birthday party and now it's back in the shop.

OK, taking a step back here ...

Bribe Force 1 (apologies for using that appellation, but it seems apropos) was a civilian jet that was attempted to be outfitted as an Air Force 1 jet.

So, trying to retrofit security onto/into a jet that was basically intended as a comfy, gawdy jet.

And the retrofit seems to have made it even gawdier. Security be damned. Mid-flight refueling? Not needed. etc., ...

Meanwhile, the Boeing jets that are outfitted to serve as an Air Force 1 jet are initially military jets at the start. And their inherent security measures are outfitted to provide comfort.

But the security of the president seems to be the first and foremost aim.

For its efforts Qatar keeps getting blasted by Iran. Oh well.

That's the idea. Bribe Force One is just a toy. Why spend all the money to make it fully USAF capable when it only has a 2 year shelf life, when the real planes will be good for 50?

So.....

Hundreds of million from the taxpayers for golfing.

Billions for the "Bored" of Peace.

$1.7 Billion insurrectionist slush fund.

$20 Million and counting for the algae pool.

$1 Billion for ballroom.

Hundreds of millions for Bribe Force One.

$100 Billion for his stupid Iran war.

It's not that we can't afford to pay for universal healthcare, it's because the GOP doesn't give a ---- about Americans.

Why spend all the money to make it fully USAF capable when it only has a 2 year shelf life, when the real planes will be good for 50?

Because baby wants his toy.

We will never see that plane used to fly another President again.

Anyone recall Trump claiming the plane was just being sent to Europe so US troops could tour it? If you didn't know he was lying about the reason he wasn't flying on it then you are a moron.

He would have sooner sent his wife.

@#9 ... Anyone recall Trump claiming the plane was just being sent to Europe so US troops could tour it? ...

I saw him saying that.

At the time my first thought was along the lines of... ~what's he covering up?~

Now Pres Trump finally seems to admit the real reason.

Qatar 1 was a civilian aircraft that was attempted to be at the capability level of a usual Air Force 1.

And it failed in that aspect.

OK, let's take a step back here, and look at things ...

Qatar 1 was originally a civilian Boeing aircraft.

The Air Force 1 planes start out as military planes.

OK, from the get-go, there is a huge difference in the planes, military vs civilian usage.

So, then the question becomes, how much money needs to be spent upon a civilian aircraft, Qatar 1, in order to bring it up to the standards of a military Air Force 1 aircraft?

So far, I see $400 million, and counting.

State Security issue. You will never know. Then, at the end of Lewzer's term, they will have to spend another fortune removing all of that stuff.

I expected more sympathy for the ridicule Trump is facing. Currently All the dictators are laughing at America right now with its favourite president slumming in Poverty Force 1 don't you know?

For a lot more than just the plane fiasco. Qatar must be just pissing themselves over that one.
