President Donald Trump reportedly plans to skip a 9/11 commemoration in Manhattan after he was barred from delivering a speech, per insiders. A New York Times report published on Thursday and co-written by Maggie Haberman revealed that Trump is not planning to attend a ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center. The reporting is based on information from four anonymous insiders.

... after he was barred from delivering a speech ...

So, he, as usual, likely wanted to make the event all about himself (give me a break, it was a Pres Trump speech), and not those being honored.

It is great that the organizers of the event decided that the event should be about the heroes of 9/11, e.g., the 343 NYC fireman who gave up their lives in order to try to save others.

Dummkopf Trumpf after the WTC collapsed: "I have the tallest building in lower Manhattan now." [sic]

And MAGAts don't want NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) to attend, even though His Honor already attended a WTC commemoration in April 2026 with King Charles III without any rightwing uproar. But that was before so many non-AIPAC candidates lost their primaries.

"after he (Trump) was barred from delivering a speech"

Where's that sharpie? Time to aggressively rename something.

Any gathering that features Trump is by definition undignified. NYC and the memory of the dead are much better off with him not being around.

In revenge, Trump will ruin something.
