Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) pushed back on former first lady Michelle Obama's remarks that the U.S. was not ready to elect a woman president. Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press," about Obama's past comments, Whitmer responded, saying, "Listen, I have got a lot of colleagues who I think are probably interested in running for president, and I've heard everyone say you can't have this person' or that person.'"

You'd sure think. My guess is while there are powerful feelings in favor of the idea on its face there is a strong undertowing element of loutishness in American culture that might make it an uphill battle simply because of the candidate's sex. Hell, the river bottomers are still stroking out over a non-white presidente.

The only white woman that might have chance with the Right is Lindsey Graham.

Considering black men got the vote fifty years before white women, I'd suggest Americans should expect roughly a fifty year gap between our first Black President and our first Woman President.

America is more sexist than racist.

Sexism is so ingrained, most people probably wouldn't agree that America is more sexist than racist.

Look no further than the idiots who voted for Trump over a woman TWICE.

Donald f*&^ing Trump. TWICE.

Hopefully more Americans than not are ready to vote out anyone associated with Trump or his policies or his family or his stench.

Let's start there.

Hillary won the popular vote.
The US had no problem with a female candidate.

She lost the ELectoral College vote.

Obama won twice.

If you want the Presidency, learn the rules to win.

you want the Presidency, learn the rules to win.

Is it, spend hundreds of millions on misinformation and propaganda campaigns?

Are those the rules?

Because that's what won Trump the presidency. Twice.

That's what republicans like Ken Paxton and Mike Rogers are counting out.

Can money buy a senate seat? Musk is betting it can.

Republicans have actually changed those rules many times during your lifetime.

But I don't think you're able to see how this relates to what you're saying.

You'll just say, if you want the Presidency, change the rules to win.

The Rules to win apparently include promising billions in profits to Oil and other Corporations who bribe you with millions.

Such a Deal! It's like it's an Art of the.

Hillary lost. Biden won.

The rules didn't prevent Biden from winning and Trump had four years to screw him.

Hillary had eight years of Obama to guarantee her win.

Kamala has four years of Biden to Rev anything Trump could have tried.

Cry all you want. The rules haven't changed.

Trump won the popular vote and the EC.

Its possible to do both.

Depends on the woman.
Hilly was a complete disaster as a politician and had the charisma of rotting fish, smart as she may have been.
Forcing her onto us because it was "her turn" was a mistake, much like forcing Dole on the GOP ticket was.
You need someone with genuine charisma and just happens to have their act together. Unfortunately for the party, most of the women like that scare the hell out of the billionaire donor class.

America is ready to elect a woman president

While that may be true, it won't be Whitmer. She won't get out of the primaries because she tried to place nice-nice with Trump.
