Certainly won't be the people who created the conditions that led to the riot. The French should have dusted off their guillotines.

Brian Sicknick (U.S. Capitol Police): Died on January 7, 2021 (the day after the riot) at age 42. The D.C. chief medical examiner ruled that he died of natural causes (suffering two strokes) after being pepper-sprayed during the clash, noting that the events of January 6 played a role in his condition. Howard Liebengood (U.S. Capitol Police): Died by suicide three days after the attack on January 9, 2021. Jeffrey Smith (D.C. Metropolitan Police): Died by suicide nine days after the attack on January 15, 2021, later officially recognized as a line-of-duty death after evidence showed he suffered a traumatic brain injury during the riot. Gunther Hashida (D.C. Metropolitan Police): Found dead by suicide in July 2021. Kyle DeFreytag (D.C. Metropolitan Police): Found dead by suicide in July 2021.
