Sources revealed Biden told Democratic governors behind closed doors that he, the most powerful politician on the planet, has asked his advisers to no longer schedule events that begin later than 8 p.m. It's a bombshell revelation, first reported by The New York Times, that further calls into question Biden's fitness and position atop Democrats' presidential ticket. read more

Either we win with Biden or hand ------- the presidency #2 | Posted by truthhurt
The Dems are not winning with Biden.
"In deep-blue L.A., Dems feel worried, betrayed about Biden [...] Daisy Williams, who voted for Biden in 2020 but said she wouldn't participate in November's election after watching last week's debate. "I've never seen something so crazy in my life. We in trouble ... That debate was a joke."
"Democrats fear 'MAGA trifecta' if Biden drags down House and Senate candidates" www.cnn.com
The Dem donors' pause likely adding to those previous worries.
"Biden's comment left several of the governors in the room frustrated, sources told CNN" www.cnn.com
"Biden also made a joke to the governors that didn't go over well: I'm fine - I don't know about my brain, though."
Which is actually very funny, IMHO.
"Dr. Alvin Dandan described his aunt as a 'brave, independent woman' who moved alone from the Philippines in the 1980s and put him through medical school. For more than 40 years, Dandan was also a 'cherished employee' at the [hotel where she worked]." www.sfchronicle.com

Was expecting yaketty sax. Leaving disappointed.
Welp, according to BellRinger's comment here, it appears that replacing Joe in a number of states, including Georgia, Nevada, and Wisconsin, would be difficult at this late date, if not impossible.
So I guess we're stuck with him.
Yay!
Focus on what actually matters. #27 | Posted by rcade
Winning. Winning is what matters. If not the presidency, the House or Senate to stifle Hair Furor. At least until Trump starts executing them as his official acts.

I don't see it getting better for Joe. Even if he performs as well going forward as at his State of the Union, the damage has been done. People see him as an old man who has good days and bad days. And the bad days are really bad.
Unless he digs up 2019 Joe that he's kept in the back of his closet, of course. Don't think that Joe is around anymore, though.
And for those in denial about Biden's chances, the swing-state table I posted earlier from a poll that LampLighter referenced. Biden wasn't doing well to begin with, but after the debate even New Mexico is in play.

And Pennsylvania? I guess they decided one mentally encumbered individual representing them meets their quota.
Anyone who thinks the Democrats can dump Biden and win in November is out of their freaking mind. It would hand the election to Trump.
Biden winning the presidency? At this point, Dems are trying avoid Biden dragging down the House and Senate. ("Democrats fear 'MAGA trifecta' if Biden drags down House and Senate candidates" www.cnn.com).
Every incumbent president in the last 30 years had a lousy first debate. Even Obama in 2012. Yet I don't remember Mitt Romney becoming president. Does anybody else? Seems like I'd remember that. #6 | Posted by rcade
This was beyond lousy. It was embarrassing, like watching an elderly person not realize that he had soiled himself. Except this time it was on stage in front of millions.

If I've translated your comment correctly, it appears that you're asking who would take Joe's place.
Unfortunately, the answer is Kamala. For many of the same reasons as Dems selected Hillary in 2016. Not selecting Kamala would alienate the Dem's Black and women base, much like not selecting Hillary in 2016 would have alienated the Dem women base.
Yeah, Kamala is unpopular and will likely lose to Trump. She might motivate enough of the base to turn out and help the Dems win the House and possibly retain the Senate, though.
On the other hand, Joe might cost the Dems more than the presidency if he insists on sticking around ("Democrats fear 'MAGA trifecta' if Biden drags down House and Senate candidates" www.cnn.com ).
For the Dems, it's not just a question of winning, anymore. It's a matter of reducing their losses.

Joe barely beat Trump last time, electorally. By 45-77K votes. Maybe he could have done it again, although Joe was already behind in the swing states even before the debate. But then he sucked all the air out of the room with his 90-minute senior moment. The only time he was able to piece together more than two words was when he poorly defended his golfing skills. It was ridiculous and sad.
The man is a laughingstock, and he's taking the rest of us down with him. Even lifelong democrats are sitting this one out. Because they feel betrayed and are embarrassed.
Dems aren't like the Repubs. Dems feel shame and actually want to vote for someone they believe in. That's why the GOP wins more often than they should, even when they have a horrible candidate like their Orange Messiah.
I can't blame Joe too much, though. As with many people at that stage in their lives, he's clearly not entirely with it anymore. Then they have to rely upon family and friends to step up and do what needs to be done for the well-being of everyone, including the senior.
Taking away grandpa's keys is not fun for anyone involved. But sometimes necessary.
