When it comes down to the world's worst military blunders I'd compare Trump to Napolean Bonapart.

But then, it's possible that history may have a long way to go before Trump stops tripping all over himself.

I can only respond by saying that the toilet paper stampede of a few years ago wasn't caused by any "natural disaster." It was caused by a sudden spike and certainly not predictable, rise in the price of gasoline which, in turn, caused Joe Citizen to decide to spend their usual travel +vacations closer to home.

If anybody failed to be "prepared," it was the manufacturers of paper toiletries who got caught flat footed with warehouses overfilled with hotel/motel products. At least, that was their explanation for why retail paper toiletries where in short supply.

So . . . let's drop the "blame the consumer" schtick. There was no "natural disaster" that caused the toilet paper stampede that I spoke about. In that case, the "consumer" was the victim of sudden and unpredictable circumstances . . . not stupidity.

It's been a while, but I seem to recall that stupidity didn't play any part in the last "toilet paper stampede." It was because gas prices practically called a halt to vacation traveling in the U.S. and the toilet paper industry was caught flat footed when hotels and motels cut their orders to the bone, leaving the industry with warehouses overstocked to the rafters with hotel/motel product and no room to stock the over demand from retail stores.

I witnessed it myself at Walmarts. Eventually the store had to put a guard on what little toilet paper they had on the shelves, limiting one 6-pack per customer. Prior to that, people in the front of the stampede were throwing packs of toilet paper to those in the back. Families were showing up, including children, each one with a cart, to get more than their share. It was the same at retail stores everywhere. It made the evening news.

None of these people were stupid. They were panic stricken.

There was a rumor (LOL) that Monkey-Ward catalogs went pack into production.

Toilet paper has wood chips.

Who else but Lex Luthor would think of combining toilet paper and the destruction of America's National Forests to force people to his will?

I remember the lesson I learned from last toilet paper stampede to stock up while you can. If we know our Donald, it's going to get worse.

That and the consequences related to his illegal war would be his death knell. Not to mention his greatest fear . . . . . that his father was right all along. He is a loser.

Trump's not going to wait for another January 6 to make his move. My guess is that he has already formulated a plan to create a national emergency before th3 election takes place.
