YouTube agreed to pay $24.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump after he was suspended by social media platforms following the January 6, 2021, insurrection. YouTube will pay $22 million to settle the claims made by Trump to the nonprofit Trust for the National Mall, which is "dedicated to restoring, preserving, and elevating the National Mall, to support the construction of the White House State Ballroom," according to a court document.
President Donald Trump emerged from talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday declaring an end to the war in Gaza was closer than ever after Netanyahu agreed to a 20-point plan laying out the parameters of a ceasefire. The proposal, which Trump unveiled publicly for the first time, still requires sign-off from Hamas. And there are a number of provisions contained in the plan which the terror group has previously rejected. Read more
European players were subjected to slurs and crude insults about their families. They were no surprise as public discourse in America has broken down
The Trumpf junta is pressuring Taiwan to rapidly move 50% of its chip production into the US if it wants ensured protection against a threatened Chinese invasion, slimy US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick disclosed. Lutnick noted that Taiwan makes about 95% of chips used in smartphones and cars, as well as in critical military defense technology. It's bad for the US, Lutnick said, that "95% of our chips are made 9,000 miles away," while China is not being "shy" about threats to "take" Taiwan. Were the US to lose access to Taiwan's supply chain, the US could be defenseless as its economy takes a hit, Lutnick whined, asking, "How are you going to get the chips here to make your drones, to make your equipment? If you can't make your own chips, how can you defend yourself, right?" the greedy oligarch argued. That's why his "objective" is to shift US chip production from 2% to 40%. To achieve that, Lutnick somehow plans to bring Taiwan's "whole supply chain" into the US. Read more
Police in west suburban Broadview are investigating the assault of a local journalist by federal immigration authorities. CBS Chicago Reporter Asal Rezaei said she was at the ICE processing facility in suburban Broadview Sunday morning to report on the scene and was preparing to leave since there were no protesters. That's when a masked ICE agent inside the fencing shot a pepper ball from about 50 feet away, hitting Rezai's truck, which had its driver's side window down, "causing the chemical agents to engulf the inside," CBS Chicago reported. "An ICE agent took a direct shot at my car today. Absolutely unprovoked," Rezaei said on social media. "My window was open and chemicals went all over my face. Been puking for two hours."
Donald Trump's tariffs have triggered an explosion in cargo theft across the US as organised gangs target truck drivers. Drugmakers, clothes manufacturers and electronics companies are grappling with "unprecedented" numbers of crimes, which have surged by a third year-on-year, according to the boss of a supply chain security company. David Warrick, executive vice president of Overhaul, said: "I've been in supply chains for 30 years and I've never seen this before." The rise is a "side-effect" of Mr Trump's sweeping trade tariffs on US goods imports, which have increased the value of shipments and pushed companies to stockpile goods, Mr Warrick said. Firms raced to front-load imports before Mr Trump's fees hit, meaning large volumes of goods have become sitting targets waiting in distribution centres and warehouses. Mr Warrick said: "This isn't opportunistic theft, this is organised crime. It is cartels and mobs who have infiltrated the supply chains."
Australian beef has replaced U.S. supply in China since President Donald Trump returned to the White House, funnelling hundreds of millions of dollars that have in previous years gone to the U.S. cattle industry into Australian pockets. U.S. shipments to China, worth around $120 million a month, collapsed after Beijing in March allowed permits to expire at hundreds of American meat facilities and as Trump unleashed a tit-for-tat tariff war. Other U.S. farm exports to China, the world's biggest food importer, have also suffered since Trump retook power. On soybeans alone, U.S. farmers have lost out on shipments worth billions of dollars during the current harvest season.
Wisconsin business owner Bill Berrien, a supporter of President Donald Trump, ended his Republican campaign for governor on Friday, days after it was reported that he followed numerous sexually explicit accounts online, including a nonbinary pornography performer. Berrien, a former Navy SEAL and one of three announced prominent Republican candidates, issued a lengthy statement saying "I had no idea that running for political office could be almost as dangerous" as "hunting down war criminals in Bosnia." Berrien said he concluded he could not win the Republican primary. "Looking towards what is in the best interest of the party, voters, donors, and my family, I have decided to end my campaign," he said.
The pro-European party of Moldovan President Maia Sandu has claimed victory and a new majority in parliament in Sunday's elections seen as critical for her country's future path to the EU. Sandu had warned of "massive Russian interference" after voting, saying the future of Moldova, flanked by Ukraine and Romania, was at stake. Igor Grosu, the leader of Sandu's Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) which secured about 50% of the vote, said Russia had thrown "everything it had" at the election.
As the nation reels from another devastating mass shooting"this time at a Mormon church in suburban Michigan"Republican leaders have remained notably silent following revelations that the gunman was a devoted Trump supporter who once proudly wore the label "Ultra MAGA." But as photos and social media posts surfaced showing Sanford in a camouflage Trump 2020 shirt that read "Make Liberals Cry Again," and a Trump-Pence sign still visible on his front lawn just months ago, the political implications became harder to ignore. So far, Republican leaders have said nothing.

Here's Why He Didn't Mention the U.S. Trump railed against migrant crime abroad but skipped U.S. stats -- because immigrants here are locked up far less often than native-born Americans.
