A federal judge criticized prosecutors for failing to get proper judicial approval before publicly filing a new criminal complaint against two ex-FBI officials accused of lying to Congress about the government's probes of Hunter Biden. Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui said in U.S. District Court in Washington that he would not sign off on the "superseding criminal complaint," which added a new criminal charge to the case against the former officials.

DETROIT -- A day after Health and Human Services secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made anti-Arab remarks at a get-out-the-vote rally for Republican candidates in Grand Rapids, he declined to address the comments during a stop in Detroit to promote a new care program for homeless individuals. Kennedy said Monday evening that Arabs do not contribute to research in science and literature, blaming the Muslim Brotherhood for "destroying" the Muslim tradition that "produced all of these great foundational discoveries in science and medicine and biology and navigation" -- remarks that have been largely condemned as racist and Islamophobic. "There are five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science," Kennedy said. "They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Medal. They don't win the Wolf Prize." Read more

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party on Wednesday accused Arab political parties of stealing the country's election through widespread voter fraud, as preliminary results showed no clear winner.

In a statement shared by Netanyahu on the social platform X, Likud alleged that Arab parties engaged in bribery, voter intimidation and forgery to influence election results, as neither Netanyahu nor his primary challenger Gadi Eisenkot was projected to gain a parliamentary majority.

"The elections in the State of Israel were stolen by Arab parties that support terrorism and the elimination of the Jewish state through serious criminal offenses of bribery, threats, violence, forgeries, and the use of prohibited software to mobilize voters," Likud said.

The Democratic campaign for Alaska's U.S. Senate seat was involved in efforts to place on the ballot a candidate with the same name as Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan in a bid to confuse voters in a race that could determine which party controls the chamber, The New York Times reported Wednesday. The newspaper obtained text messages between members of Democrat Mary Peltola's campaign discussing recruiting other people with the same name as the two-term Republican their candidate was running against. They eventually landed on a retired schoolteacher in the small fishing community of Petersburg named Dan J. Sullivan. He made it through the state's August open primary and is one of four candidates on the ranked vote ballot for next Tuesday's general election.

U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico seemed to have settled on a strategy for dealing with his history of promoting dishonest and destructive ideas. The Texas Democrat, aware that his positions were far to the left of the average American, sought to run away from the most disturbing items on his agenda. But now a week before Election Day he's saying that he hasn't moderated his views at all. Voters beware

For two years, we've been trudging through sludge, trapped in Trump's MAGgoty reality-show rerun. We wake up every morning to the dread realization that a demented conman in a mangy rug still occupies the glitzed-up Oval Office (or as Obama put it, Saddam Hussein's version of a Cheesecake Factory) But is the Ceausescu balcony moment drawing near on Nov 3?

During a Democratic Party POTUS debate on 27 June 2019, Kamala Harris (D-CA) tagged former VPOTUS Joe Biden (D-DE) for his abysmal 1970s record on racial desegregation. The attack came after Biden came under harsh criticism for boasting about his ability to form personal relationships with race-baiting former Senators James Eastland (D-MS) and Herman Talmadge (D-GA). "It was hurtful," Harris said, to hear Biden speak of his bonds with those racist senators. Senator Harris then related the story of a little girl who was in an early wave of children to integrate schools in California, ending the anecdote with these words: "That little girl was me." To better understand the bigoted white Catholic milieu that Joe Biden grew up with in Scranton, PA (before his family moved to Claymont, DE in 1953), watch That Championship Season (1982) starring Robert Mitchum, Stacy Keach, Bruce Dern, Martin Sheen, and Paul Sorvino (71% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes).
