James Carville: ‘Democrat Messaging is Full of Sh*t!’

Carville went on to cite a recent Harvard/Harris poll " which found three of the five issues Americans care most about are economy-related, while the Israel-Hamas conflict placed 13th. He went on to trash President Joe Biden's recent $7.7 billion student debt forgiveness package.

But the economy is fine "cUz a LoT oF pEoPLe aRe fLYiNg oN mEmOrIaL DaY wEeKeNd!!!!"

Democrats have trouble with messaging. Gee, where have I heard that before? Likely every election cycle (especially the Presidential ones) for a decade or two.

The Snake is smart enough to know that Trump is Trash.

Unlike the Trump cultists here.

You thought Obama's messaging was ----?

Idk I thought it was pretty good.

Even the last election cycle Democrats did fairly well.

@#5 ... You thought Obama's messaging was s--t? ...

I did not say that.

But do try harder to misrepresent my comments.

Carville's been talking about Democratic messaging since he made the jump to reptile. It's how he gets paid.

And I like the guy.

#7 | Posted by Dbt2 at 2024-05-27 11:29 PM

He shoulda got paid a lot earlier. 4 and long sux.

Carville is wrong.

Their messaging is fine. Their policies are for ---. It's extremely difficult to message policies that are not being pursued.

It's always the economy, stupid.

"I wonder why Obama didn't codify Roe into law when he had a super majority"

Unless you're talking with MAGAholics; then the actual economy doesn't matter; the lies Fox Bews are all the MAGAholics hear.

This time it's the economy OF the stupid.

Apparently.

Apparently much of what looks like poor public perception about the economy is actually just maga maroon Republicans angry that Donald Trump isn't still president.

#9 the policies are fine.

At least, they would have been twenty years ago before the extreme partisanship kicked in.

Not that Jeff can ever name any policies.

#15 | Posted by Sycophant at 2024-05-28 04:12 PM

"You thought Obama's messaging was s--t? ..."

IIRC, Obama's popularity was usually higher than support for his policies.

That tells me his messaging was pretty strong, IMO.

Democrat Messaging is Full of ---!'

I prefer it to the, "Fkkk you and your civil rights!" messaging of the GOP.

Can you? Sure we go to some website, and pull down this ....

"We are committed to ensuring that every child in America has access to a world-class public education so we can out-educate the world and make sure America has the world's highest proportion of college graduates by 2020 ... This requires
excellence at every level of our education system, from early learning through postsecondary education. It means we must
close the achievement gap in America's schools and ensure that in every neighborhood in the country, children can benefit from high-quality educational opportunities. "

cdn.kqed.org

Here's what people see ...

$21,000 per pupil in CA. ...

The study by the research organization NWEA, which also administers assessments in K-12 schools, lands as the 2024 deadline approaches quickly for schools to spend the last of the $190 billion in federal pandemic relief money.
apnews.com

At 13 Baltimore City high schools, zero students tested proficient on 2023 state math exam
foxbaltimore.com

The talk doesn't match reality ... hence the messaging is failing ... and the policies generated are just words.

Now look at the Republicans, from same link ....

"[We are] the party of fresh and innovative ideas in education. We support options for learning, including home schooling and local innovations like single-sex classes, full-day school hours, and year-round schools. School choice ... is important
for all children, especially for families with children trapped in failing schools."

Do you think this appeals to parents and is closer to reality. Looking at it, it also attempts a solution.....

I could go on, as a Democrat I would like to see solutions. The summation of the Democrat policies is they are bland lofty rhetorical ideas.

The Democrats messaging was full of ---- in 2020. Remember Defund the Police? Yet Biden managed to overcome that.
