Feels about the same as losing your job for not adhering to the dress code.

Not getting the TB test is an even better example.

What makes this so vastly different?

#27 | Posted by snoofy at 2024-07-03 08:26 AM

"This thread had nothing to do with racism"

It does, you're just too racist to understand it.

"The COVID-19 pandemic's disproportionate impact on people from some racial and ethnic groups in the U.S. persisted throughout 2021. Black, Latinx, and American Indian persons have been hospitalized and died at a higher rate than White persons consistently from the start of the pandemic." www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Latinx lol. When you want to be diverse but remembering all the ethnicities is really hard.

#29 | Posted by sitzkrieg at 2024-07-03 08:34 AM

There's only one ethnicity; that's another part of the racism.

#30 | Posted by snoofy at 2024-07-03 08:36 AM

That'd be a fun one, watching Snoofy lecture the sociology profs that specialize in ethnic groups about how racist they are.

#31 | Posted by sitzkrieg at 2024-07-03 09:43 AM

but back to Covid, yeah, the military rescinded that requirement in a bipartisan bill signed by Biden.

#32 | Posted by sitzkrieg at 2024-07-03 09:45 AM

"that specialize in ethnic groups"

In the context of the article, there's only one ethnicity, and it's Hispanic.
The racism is with the United States, and how the United States defines ethnicity.
Not the people who labor under those definitions.
Unless you're saying we're all racist because we reap the benefits of slavery in our racist society.

The thing she objected to, wasn't even in the vaccine!

But, we live in a Clown World now, where sincere beliefs -- even when they aren't true, and even when they are manufactured by right-wing propaganda -- those count as much as facts.

UPDATE (July 2nd):

We spoke with Tanja Benton's attorney Doug Hamill Tuesday, who tells us Benton's religion is "Christian non-denominational."

According to the Associated Press, an internet-wide video by the group Project Veritas led to false claims online that Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine contains fetal cells.

The AP says this caused social media users to spread this information online, referencing religious exemptions from the vaccine.

A study by National Geographic shows fetal cells as a part of the testing or development process of the COVID-19 vaccine, but not a direct ingredient.

But, Hamill says Benton believed that the vaccine would be injecting fetal cells into her body.

...

"Some of the people resist because at one point, stem cell lines from an aborted fetus were used in development. Some of those are sincere. They're often confused about the facts."

Care to guess how many deaths it prevented?

Numbers range from 800,000 to 20 million.

Depending on human variables.

Like whether the health systems completely collapsed or not.

By the time my family finally caught it the symptoms were relatively mild and none of us had to go to the ER.

People who disagree with this
Are the ones who refused
masks and vaccines
until they got sick
and rushed to the hospital
begging for the vaccine.

But it was too late.

Watching so many Deplorables kill themselves
with their own pig-headed
stupidity
had the effect of overwhelming the health care system,
on a personal level, for all the people
who had to tell them
and their families
it was too late
to live.

#46. This patently false. It prevents disease the same way the flu shot prevents disease by dramatically lowering (not eliminating) your chance of getting it. It also dramatically improves your chance of surviving the disease by making it less severe than of you hadn't taken it.

It's not that hard.

The position anti vaxxers take that it either works 100% of the time or is worthless isn't supported by facts, history, or science.

It's a really, really dumb position to take.

How do you figure anything I said was opinion? It's a fact that immunizations have NEVER been about 100% efficacy in preventing disease.

Ever.

SOME immunizations allow for true prevention of disease. But no two viruses are the same. Some don't allow for it, but can have their symptoms lessened by preparing the bodies immune systems to combat the infection, which, in turn, lessens the mortality rate and strength of their symptoms. Just because they can't teach 100% prevention never stopped production before.

This is just a fact. That you are too much of a hard hat wearing bus rider to recognize this and think it's either 100% prevention or wireless, doesn't mean everyone else dealing with actual facts is wrong.

In what room temperature iq world do you live in ?
