"You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!

The most famous of which is 'Never get involved in a land war in Asia,' but only slightly less well-known is this: 'Never go against a Ukrainian comic when death is on the line!'"

Not nearly as newsworthy as the Russian's 810th Marines being encircled at Martynovka in Kursk.

Good, they need to raid the Kremlin and take out Pooty Poot, dead or alive.

The crux of Americas current problem are we absurdly allow corrupt leftist commie foreigners and insider threats to interfere and attempt to destroy the USA with an immense financial burden and political divide.

Robson post, as relevant as ever.

Re 3.

Is that the 3000 troops the Ukrainians have surrounded and cornered?

But pooty pants ain't worried. They are expendable. They are just suckers and losers. Apparently. It's a fascist dictator thing.

They don't even have to kill Putin just have enough drones slamming into the side of the Kremlin that everyone inside fear that only way for this to end with them alive is if they immediately beg for a ceasefire.

Maybe this would be better.

Again the idea is that nobody even has to die.

It was 200 elite troops that were the leading edge of the Russian counter-attack on Sudzha in Kursk, along the main highway into the city.

Ukrainians got 90% of them.

Also, PM Modi spotted in Poland. India making the pivot away from Russian arms deals after this debacle.

Trump has already told us the how he'll pay for assistance to Ukraine; tax cuts for the rich and the big corporatiions.

Nice. Thx!

Been following a story of the 3000 Russian troops they also apparently have cornered and surrounded in Kursk. They have them "hemmed against a river". Hard to get any details yet. Waiting to hear how that turns out and if any are able to escape.

Slava Ukraini!

I watch numerous bloggers that talk about the war in Ukraine and now inside of Russia and one guy pointed out that the three bridges that were blown up by Ukraine and that now have 4000 Orcs trapped in a cauldron will not expect to receive anymore heavy equipment but that the river is small enough that they can swim it to escape. I can see this but what really matters is that Ukraine now 'owns' that land.

Russians who surrender should be encouraged to help Ukraine in exchange for a future in the new free state of Rus.

Terrifying. WW1, ostfront, pacific theater, kind of terror, with a modern twist. The Ukr forces waited for the pontoon bridges to be setup, then attacked with drone swarms. Conscripts running in hopeless circles around blown out trees with no cover, desperately trying not to die from a tiny buzzing drone with a mortar shell zip tied to it. They always die. If not from the first one, then from any of the next dozen that came with it. There is a video of a building getting drenched in autocannon fire.

On the other end of the war, what's not being covered, is the Russian advanced beyond Avidiivka is doing well and moving not that much slower than the Kursk offensive. Ukraine has not committed reserves that can halt them.

@#17 ... what's not being covered, ...

I saw that Russia was making advances in one of my visits to a news site.

I don't remember the details, though.

Here's one (though not sure if it is the one of which you speak.... )

Russia Pushes Forward in Ukraine's East as Kursk Offensive Slows
www.nytimes.com

... But more than 200 miles to the southeast, another offensive is gaining momentum: Russia's drive toward Pokrovsk, a stronghold in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region. In recent days, Moscow's troops have seized at least three settlements and reached the outskirts of a town along a railroad to Pokrovsk, a logistics hub for the Ukrainian Army in the region.

The Russian advance has put the Ukrainians in the precarious position of defending one critical front while attempting to press forward on another, all with limited troop numbers and weaponry. President Volodymyr Zelensky said this week that Ukraine was working on boosting its forces in the east with more men and weapons to resist the Russian advance. ...
