Is this a by product and outcome of stupid policies by Kamala and Biden leftists bringing millions of illegal low life unvetted third world criminal trash into our once sane civilized country? Time for citizens to say theyve had enough actions from crooked destructive politicians. They need to get the perps and make sure they are removed from society with no chance ever of freedom.

why bother to send cops when we can send thoughts and prayers eh trump?

say why are you behind bullet proof glass?

#15 | Posted by Tor at 2024-09-07 10:28 PM

Republicans will send meaningless "thoughts and prayers" and say "nothing can be done" as they whine about 2nd Amendment.

#16 | Posted by AMERICANUNITY at 2024-09-07 11:22 PM

BTW, this week, a guy here in Nashville was on a two lane highway on the way to take his dog swimming.

A pickup was tailgating him, anxious to pass or whatever.

When they guy and his dog were stopped in a left turn lane at a light on the two lane highway, the driver of the pickup pulled next to him, fired two shots into his car, and killed his dog.

This random gun violence ---- has to stop. None of us are safe. Not even traveling down an interstate.

#17 | Posted by AMERICANUNITY at 2024-09-07 11:36 PM

The vast majority of these mass shooters are young, white, Anglo males.

ROBSON, buddy, there has never been any reason to like you. I will however give you a sincere and well-meaning observation. The worse Trump does the more unhinged you become. I can't imagine how you'll be on the day he loses.

It is time for you to take stock of your fantasies to harm liberals and minorities. You have guns, don't deny it. Time to get rid of them for your own sake.

#20 | Posted by Zed at 2024-09-08 08:29 AM

Let me say this because I think it is true----

If Trump loses, there will be repeats (plural) to the massacre in El Paso.

Not a few elementary schools will also be targeted.

Stop it.

By spreading propaganda that people will be killed if T---p isn't elected, you're effectively campaigning for the orange menace.

No. It's not going to happen. The MAGAts are cowards, they're not going to start doing any more mass shootings than they already are.

I hadn't considered the point you raised.

#23 | Posted by Zed at 2024-09-08 10:29 AM

The shooter was out on bond for making terrorist threats and was still able to purchase an AR-15 and 2000 rounds of ammo yesterday morning. The NRA/GQP is a death cult.

This quote has been taken out of context. Vance actually said:
"I don't like that this is a fact of life," before advocating for increased security measures in schools."

Maybe some day you'll actually take the time to research such statements before posting the dem talking points. Then again, that is doubtful as you want to believe dem talking points whether or not they are true - remember dem claims that hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation???

#26 | Posted by Reinheitsgebot at 2024-09-08 03:28 PM

This quote has been taken out of context.

No it wasn't you ignorant ass. Even the abbreviated quote says the same thing. There is zero difference in meaning.

"I don't like this. I don't like to admit this. I don't like that this is a fact of life."

To me, the actual full quote is worse, because it reveals Vance admitting 1) He doesn't like to "admit" his truth on the subject; 1) He doesn't like that "this (school shootings resulting in the murder of innocent children and teachers) is a fact of life."

It's NOT a fact of life, it's wholly preventable if we want to! There are myriad ways where law-abiding Americans can have weapons while we stop them from being used to slaughter our children. Only a coward and a fool says "I don't like to admit the indiscriminate killing of our children by weapons designed for warfare is a fact of life."

Vance is just another scared coward unwilling to join rightly concerned citizens to amend our 2nd Amendment to better protect non-carrying Americans if we can't find a way to stop these shootings within its language somehow.

#29 | Posted by MSgt at 2024-09-08 06:47 PM

Methinks you have the intellect of an amoeba with diarrhea.

There is no difference in meaning: Vance thinks that the killing of school children is a fact of life.

The preface only establishes his dislike of a "fact" that isn't a fact. It's only a fact to those unwilling to do something to change the current status quo.

Hardening schools won't eliminate shootings, stopping deranged people from accessing the weaponry used in school shootings will stop school shootings.

#30 | Posted by tonyroma at 2024-09-08 08:38 PM

"I don't like that this is a fact of life," before advocating for increased security measures in schools."

-----------. Every time a bill comes up to increase funding for schools they vote it down.

#31 | Posted by Nixon at 2024-09-09 11:02 AM

It's only a fact to those unwilling to do something to change the current status quo.

How many times do they blame "mental illness"?

205 Republicans Vote Against Bill to Expand School Mental Health Services

Republicans have spent months scapegoating mental health issues as a catch-all for problems like mass shootings.

truthout.org

On Thursday, the House passed a bill aimed at expanding access to mental health services in schools that garnered only one Republican vote, despite the party's ceaseless scapegoating of mental illness for issues in the U.S.

-Every time a bill comes up to increase funding for schools they vote it down.

And if people really really wanted these resources placed into their schools, then those resources would be in their schools.

Nothing is stopping a school district to place armed officers and mental health professionals in their schools.

Well....almost nothing. The very people who have to pay for this have to agree to ....well.....pay for it.

There is your obstacle.

People are lying when they say they want this stuff........because it's not free

And it's not any less free when it's being debated in the US Senate.

Perfect example how people are NOT tuned into what's really going on in their local communities.

Rather than attend a local school board meeting and get some movement on these resources....they'd rather watch senators 1,800 miles away vote on something that wouldn't likely help them anyway.

People are nuts.
