Trump is above the law and apparently it makes some people very happy.

This is what it's like to be in a cult.

Give it a rest Corky. It's a done deal. It's just a matter of time for the formalities. Trump just got away with his criminal convictions. We have a two tiered Justice system in this country. Of course the usual suspects won't care. Party over country folks you know.

#3 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2024-11-22 09:27 PM

Laura Mohr,

Corky is actually correct on this.

#4 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-11-22 09:31 PM

- Of course the usual suspects won't care.

Right, Jeffy doesn't care that he's shilled for a criminal traitor around here for years.

And the Judge can leave the sentencing for the future if wants after he's gotten Trump's filing for dismissal. But he needs to get that first before he can rule on it.

But NY likely doesn't want to spend the money to fight the Fed Gov in Court, and then lose to his unpatriotic SC.

This is a kin to You knowing that you have cancer and the Doctor knows you have cancer you are just waiting for the test results to confirm that you have cancer. The cancer in this scenario is Trump avoiding accountability.

#6 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2024-11-22 10:19 PM

#6. Your scenario is definitely more likely, but I guess we will find out for sure soon enough.

#7 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-11-22 10:25 PM

No one but Trump has ever gotten a felony conviction for what their accountant wrote in the memo field of a check. DemocRAT lawfare is reason #201 why DemocRATs lost the House, Senate and Presidency. Weird right?

#8 | Posted by visitor_ at 2024-11-23 11:27 AM

... DemocRAT lawfare...

Are you really this stupid and naive, or do you just play on the internet?
You really believe that after months and months of trickery and machinations, and hundreds, if not thousands, of people bribed, coerced, and manipulated, that they couldn't just throw him in prison? They were competent enough to foist this giant conspiracy, yet couldn't get the corrupt judge to finalize the deal?
Just be honest with yourself and admit you don't care that he's a criminal conman rapist and get on with your life.

The prosecutor promised to prosecute Trump to get elected. The prosecutor picked the man and then found the crime. Literally no ever was prosecuted for this "crime" before Trump. The prosecutor had to twist the law in a way it intended to be used. Trump was convicted of crime in a kangaroo court.

He's two parts stupid, one part troll.

Waste of your time.

Clownshack were you always an angry young man or did that happen when you got too old to be a chai boy?

#12 | Posted by visitor_ at 2024-11-23 12:31 PM

" Literally no ever was prosecuted for this "crime" before Trump."

What news outlet is lying to you like that? Literally, the office averaged three similar filings PER DAY for the past three years. Three cases for every eight hours of work.

#13 | Posted by Danforth at 2024-11-23 01:15 PM

Can you produce the case number for even one? Of course you can't.

#14 | Posted by visitor_ at 2024-11-23 01:35 PM

"case number ... "

You're joking, right?

From ny.gov-
Since 2015, New York State has arraigned 9,474 cases on charges of falsifying business records.

#16 | Posted by YAV at 2024-11-23 04:34 PM

And 0.01% were because of the memo field on a check or description on an invoice and tried as a felony. That 0.01% was the lawfare against Trump. The majority of the electorate know it was lawfare, why don't you?

#17 | Posted by visitor_ at 2024-11-23 04:37 PM

Wow.
Ok then...
Doubling down after you got your talking point was crushed.

#18 | Posted by YAV at 2024-11-23 04:55 PM

Literally none of those other cases were felonies involving the memo field of a check. NONE.

#19 | Posted by visitor_ at 2024-11-23 06:12 PM

you are being utterly ridiculous and what's awesome is you are clueless about it.

#20 | Posted by YAV at 2024-11-23 06:42 PM

The accompanying election interference is what made the charges a felony. It was never just over "hush money." That was just what the media reported nonstop.

#21 | Posted by Hickory at 2024-11-23 07:26 PM

This just in: Trump completely exonerated of all lawfare by jury of nearly 77 million!

The noxious orange pedo has 34 felony convictions.

This isn't the positive flex you think it is. Sadly you're too foolish to see this. Not surprisingly from a Trump supporter.

Laura all I saw was the scoreboard on the Electoral College and it was an ass kicking. It was obvious this was the next thing to happen. Typical of paper tigers.

Of course you would say this. You're a Trumper. You wouldn't be saying this if it was about Obama now would you??

#34 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2024-11-23 10:43 PM

If Obama had done the exact same thing the case never would have been brought. Heck, even Andrew Cuomo admitted this case doesn't get brought against anyone not named Trump.

#35 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-11-23 10:59 PM

Obama didn't do those things, jeff.

You screeching howler monkeys spent 8 years trying to find Obama's waterloo and searching for his birth certificate.

Then you went and elected a guy that was everything you said Obama was. A fake Christian man-child Manchurian candidate terrorist. Putin's --------.

FO. All six of you.

#36 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2024-11-23 11:31 PM

The truly pathetic part is there were legitimate complaints to be made about Obama. Unfortunately they got lost among the noise and buzzwords you idiots created for 8 years.

A tan suit, the guns in Mexico, Solyndra, the hotdog mustard, the terrorist fist jab, michelle is a man ect ect...

You are your own worst enemies.

#37 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2024-11-23 11:35 PM

Obama's birth certificate controversy was always stupid. However, so was "Russiagate" yet the latter resulted in Obama holdovers fully weaponizing the FBI and DOJ to try and knee-cap a duly elected president.

#38 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-11-23 11:41 PM

Regardless, you are deflecting away from the absurd and corrupt nature of the Bragg case. The classified documents case? Yeah, that deserved to move forward. The rest of them? Weaponization of our legal system.

Notice how the appetite for these cases has mostly evaporated? They were brought to try and influence the outcome of this election and the whole thing failed.

#39 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-11-23 11:43 PM

They dissolved because Trump is POTUS. Period.

The DOJ has a standing policy of not pestering the current POTUS, and SCOTUS also delayed them by giving Trump immunity for "official acts" which is --------.

#40 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2024-11-23 11:44 PM

I'd also like to remind you that the "stupid" in your words, certificate controversy is what built Trump's political foundation.

Although it started with Clinton in the primary it was Trump who really pushed it.

You don't need to remind me of that. I remember.

It wasn't Hillary that started it. It was one of her ardent supporters.

www.factcheck.org

The second article, which ran several days after the Politico piece, was published by the Telegraph, a British paper, which stated: "An anonymous email circulated by supporters of Mrs Clinton, Mr Obama's main rival for the party's nomination, thrust a new allegation into the national spotlight " that he had not been born in Hawaii."

Both of those stories comport with what we here at FactCheck.org wrote two-and-a-half years earlier, on Nov. 8, 2008: "This claim was first advanced by diehard Hillary Clinton supporters as her campaign for the party's nomination faded, and has enjoyed a revival among John McCain's partisans as he fell substantially behind Obama in public opinion polls."

Claims about Obama's birthplace appeared in chain emails bouncing around the Web, and one of the first lawsuits over Obama's birth certificate was filed by Philip Berg, a former deputy Pennsylvania attorney general and a self-described "moderate to liberal" who supported Clinton.

You think that's a legitimate course of action in a Democratic Republic? No wonder you voted for an authoritarian POS.
