... "We applaud General Kelly for highlighting in stark details the danger of a second Trump term. Like General Kelly, we did not take the decision to come forward lightly," the letter said. "We are all lifelong Republicans who served our country. However, there are moments in history where it becomes necessary to put country over party. This is one of those moments."

Politico was first to report on the letter.

The letter, released by the Harris campaign, is signed by former officials including former press secretary Stephanie Grisham, former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security Miles Taylor, and Olivia Troye, former national security adviser to Mike Pence. Why is it that so many Republicans, many of them formerly deep in Trump's admin or inner circle, are willing to testify against and/or criticize fmr Pres Trump.

Trump supporters don't care. They hate democracy and desperately wish for a fascist dictator to come to power.

Sad, but true.

Here's Trump today:

"Donald Trump repeated his familiar rhetoric and misinformation about immigration and the US"Mexico border and praised Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin at a rally in Austin, Texas.

"Putin and the whole group, Kim Jong Un, they're tough guys out there. They're tough and they're smart and they're street wise and they're at the top of their game," Trump told rallygoers."

He so wants to be back in the America Haters Boys Club.

@4 ... "Putin and the whole group, Kim Jong Un, they're tough guys out there. They're tough and they're smart and they're street wise and they're at the top of their game," Trump told rallygoers." ...

I agree with fmr Pres Trump in that statement that he admires "Putin and the whole group, Kim Jong Un."

But the question I have about it is ... what is the game that he admires them for being at the top of?

The suppression of Democracy and the fortification of a dictatorship?

A colleague of mine once told me, "Be kind to those you pass on the way up as you may pass them again on the way down."

Too bad Trumpy has never had friends that could give him that kind of advice.

@#6 ... "Be kind to those you pass on the way up as you may pass them again on the way down." ...

I had heard the same adage.

But it was in a class I was in for the GE Management Training Program back in the early 70's.

Not sure what you mean here. Can you explain?

thx.

... I hope Trump keeps the list so he knows the first ones to lock up. ...

OK, so you seem to be quite in favor of the revenge Presidency that fmr Pres Trump says he will do.

My first question of that would be...

Why is such a revenge Presidency good for the American people?

Because we are way beyond reforming at this point. We need to shut down whole government functions and jail those that corrupted the system as a warning against future abuse.

level of credibility found on morning joe telling us that biden is sharp as a tack and the absolute "best"

.....which is none.

"Deep state neocons for Harris. For more war, for more war."

Yeah Visitor because the only wars you can point at don't involve any American personnel so somehow, in your tiny reptillian brain, it makes Putin the good guy because he loaned Trump money when no American bank would? Never mind that he invaded Ukraine and murdered hundreds of thousands of people! I guess those lives don't matter to ---------! If Trump gave Putin a-------- right in front of you would you finally believe Trump is Putin's Bitch? And now he wants to be Xi's Bitch too! And that is who you want to be our President? Think about that foe a moment. Really think about that.....if you can actually still think, which I honestly doubt that you actually can.

#16 | Posted by danni at 2024-10-27 09:00 AM

Why is it we only get involved in wars that benefit US corporations and large Democrat donors?

There is a whistleblower trying to come forward with information about the Trump campagin's alleged election interference from 2020 through today. Part of that interference relates to Hunter Biden's laptop:

A new whistleblower promises to reveal a coordinated private effort to use facial recognition to track Congressional behavior, says Trump knew.

Did Trump know about unlawful, private surveillance program targeting Democratic lawmakers? Leaked memo says 'yes'

Additionally, the former DOD official states his client has information related to former Trump advisors Rudy Giuliani, Roger Stone and the imprisoned Steve Bannon who "used manipulated data regarding Hunter Biden's laptop to affect public affairs."

If Trump wins, none of this will come out. If he doesn't, it might.

@#24 ... Lordy, there ARE tapes! ...

That seems to be the case.

More from the link in #24...

... Investigators from the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence have already met on Capitol Hill with the whistleblower, and their lawyer Dan Meyer, National Security Partner at Tully Rickney just revealed exclusively, "the recordings have actually been heard."

Meyer says his client's whistleblower report has been "formally through the intake process at the Senate Intelligence Committee. In that process, it's the counsels for both the majority and minority members that met with the whistleblower. I [attended] telephonically."

"So both the Democratic and the Republican, General Councils on the Senate Intelligence Committee were on the call when the whistleblower played from the recordings," explained the lawyer, who is himself a three-time whistleblower. ...
