... And during his recent visit to Capitol Hill, Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy delivered a warning to Republicans who don't go along with their plans to slash spending as part of Trump's proposed Department of Government Efficiency.

"Elon and Vivek talked about having a naughty list and a nice list for members of Congress and senators and how we vote and how we're spending the American people's money," said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.

Trump's second term comes with the specter of the world's richest man serving as his political enforcer. The adviser and others noted that Musk's role is still taking shape. ...

Hitler also went to Germany's Oligarchy to support his Authoritarian rule.

Apparently DJT has read one book... a Playbook.

Dems are going to have to decide how to manage the inevitable fallout of some at least semi-conscious Republicans in Congress, and some working for the Fed Gov and the Military... of them needing the help of Dems to succeed on votes and policies and Law that matter.

Do they, on some issues at least, side with GOPhers ready to stand up to Trump, or just watch them be run over by Musk Combover?

Counterrevolution is in Order.

Mainstream Repukes can stop Trump if they want to.

Think Big, his agenda could be stopped in it's Tracks by only a few Republican defectors.

It's a slim chance but better than nothing. Have the Republicans completely become Toads?

That the Question,..Skippy.

I was wondering how long it would take before the apparent Pres Putin's puppets showed up here.

It took longer than I had expected.

Are those resources stretched kind of thin these days? (maybe ask fmr Pres Bashar al-Assad)

So many web sites to pollute, so little time ...

An unelected billionaire bureaucrat issuing threats to elected officials is the definition of the swamp.

This ---- is proof that we need to eliminate private money in the election cycle.

White apartheid government did not work out for South Africa. Will Musk also chair the inevitable US Truth and Reconciliation Commission after the GOP eunuchs stand by and watch it all burn down.

It makes me wonder, when Dotard's arteries and fast food diet finally catch up to him, does JV get to sit on the golden throne, or will MAGA claim that Musk was really co-president all along and demend he be named the new POTUS for Life despite what the Constitution says.

#16 | Posted by _Gunslinger_ at 2024-12-12 01:46 AM

will MAGA claim that Musk was really co-president all along

He already is. Being South African, he will always have to share the title. I'm sure that really makes him crazy. Well, crazier.

He bought Trump.

Now he owns America.

#20 | Posted by ClownShack at 2024-12-12 05:38 PM

@#20 ... He bought Trump. ...

Yup.

And now he seems to be saying he is willing to buy more GOP politicians to assure that those in office do not opposed Pres-elect Trump.

Then there's this...

Trump says he isn't worried about potential conflicts of interest at Musk's DOGE: 'Elon puts the country long before his company'
www.yahoo.com

... In a new interview with Time Magazine, President-elect Donald Trump brushed back concerns that Elon Musk's companies could create a conflict of interest for his work on DOGE.

"I think that Elon puts the country long before his company," Trump said in the interview. ...

Trump, who Time named its 2024 Person of the Year, said that he trusts Musk, whose companies hold billions in federal contracts.

"He considers this to be his most important project, and he wanted to do it," Trump told Time.

"And, you know, I think, I think he's one of the very few people that would have the credibility to do it, but he puts the country before, and I've seen it, before he puts his company." ...

... he puts the country before, and I've seen it, before he puts his company. ....

What is the "country" that Mr Musk would place before his companies? What does that "country" look like?

#22 | Posted by LampLighter at 2024-12-12 05:56 PM

Lauren Windsor tweet appears to be the primary source :

"A senator told me that the rumor on the Hill is that Elon Musk is threatening to fund a primary challenge to any House Republican who doesn't fall in line with Trump's agenda.

#23 | Posted by Miranda7 at 2024-12-12 11:10 PM

Elon was making these threats long before he became Co-President.

#24 | Posted by REDIAL at 2024-12-12 11:35 PM

I'll ask again ...

What is the "country" that Mr Musk would place before his companies? What does that "country" look like?
