The lawyer helping Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pick federal health officials for the incoming Trump administration has petitioned the government to revoke its approval of the polio vaccine, which for decades has protected millions of people from a virus that can cause paralysis or death.

I read the Times article this morning. The petition was made in 2022, not that they won't try again if they think they can win.

I think the problem is that so many MAGA don't remember what polio actually is or what it can do.

Just like they don't remember what an economic depression is or what it can do.

I suspect any wild polio virus in the US could also be brought in by most any traveler who is not screened nor vaccinated and not just migrants. Given that the number of travelers coming to the US vastly outnumbers the number of migrants, that is a much more likely source of wild polio virus cases in the US. Such was the case of the July 2022 incidence in the US:

Only according to MAGAts like you who think science is "exact". The rest of us understood even the best most thoroughly tested vaccines against the most stable of diseases were never 100%.

There are pictures online of the last surviving person who caught polio as a child and spent the last ~70 years in an iron lung. Go online, look at the pictures and read about him, then decide if this is the life you want for your children.

I read about him a year or two ago. The last few years were a complete struggle to find parts to keep the Iron Lung working since nobody makes them anymore because the vaccine wiped out Polio and the long time survivors that required them were dying off.
