Biden cannot personally prevent wildfires. Neither can Trumpy.

But Biden can and is cooperating with Newsom and is helping California with resources for fighting the fires and the promise of and aid for recovery in any way he can. Biden also was working on the underlying cause which is extreme climate change. What will Trumpy do about that besides lying and spreading misinformation and denying it is a problem?

What will Trumpy do after Jan 20th? We will see. But if his current statements are any clue then I bet it involves a lot of denial blaming and name calling and maybe even a little blackmail.

He worked hard for America. Trumpy will work hard for the oil companies and himself.

Biden has no choice but to help oil companies. His policies have been a mixed bag. And while I don't agree with everything Biden has done he did not do it for himself or to own the maga maroons. He did it for America.

Because America still runs on oil.

But like Carter he saw this was unsustainable into the future and tried to set into motion policies that will help curb greenhouse gas emissions and dampen demand for that oil.

He also agreed to things like the massive ConocoPhillips' Willow Project in the Arctic that guarantees future drilling on public lands.

Why would he do that?

Because America still runs on oil.

And you can't solve the energy crisis by living off the grid in the woods and ignoring it and hope someone else solves it someday. And you can't solve our energy problems by pretending they don't exist and everything is just fine if we just drill more oil.

And we all (should) know by now the problems that being reliant on fossil fuels has caused. So that means we should start working together and transitioning to cleaner energy sources. Any American that cares about Americas future would start doing what they can to move us to cleaner energy sources as quickly and as painlessly as possible. This is actually a national security issue. This is obviously what Biden and many democratic presidents all the way back to Jimmy Carter have tried to do. To make America more energy independent.

To pretend otherwise is just being a maga "drill baby drill" fool.
