We now know that interim U.S. attorney for D.C. Ed Martin isn't just a Trump bootlicker but a prolific useful idiot for Putin, having done 150+ hits on RT and Sputnik that he didn't disclose to the Senate until this week. I'd phrase it more as, "cult following."

Stated differently, there are many smart people who join cults, i.e. an illogical adoration of a god figure.

I went to law school with Ed Martin.
He was likable enough on a personal level at the time, but putting him in this position was a very bad move.
