More from the article ...

... While the newly enacted legislation would save more than $1 trillion by cutting federal spending on health care -- with the majority coming from Medicaid -- CBO predicts that the package's costs will far outweigh its savings.

The bulk of the red ink from the package comes from the GOP's permanent extension of Trump's 2017 tax cuts. The analysis finds that the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over tax policy, enacted policies that would decrease the incoming federal cash flow from taxes by a total of $4.5 trillion.

That sum includes the cost of tax cuts Republicans added during Senate floor debate of the package. ...

New Order - True Faith (1987)

Lyrics excerpt ...

genius.com

...
[Verse 1]
I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me
I get this feeling I'm in motion
A sudden sense of liberty
I don't care, 'cause I'm not there
And I don't care if I'm here tomorrow
Again and again, I've taken too much
Of the things that cost you too much

[Chorus]
I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun
My morning sun is the drug that brings me near
To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear
I used to think that the day would never come
That my life would depend on the morning sun

[Verse 2]
When I was a very small boy
Very small boys talked to me
Now that we've grown up together
They're afraid of what they see
That's the price that we all pay
And the value of destiny comes to nothing
I can't tell you where we're going
I guess there's just no way of knowing
...

True Faith (song)

...The original lyrics included a verse that read "Now that we've grown up together/They're all taking drugs with me".

Hague convinced Bernard Sumner to change the latter line to "They're afraid of what they see" because he was worried that otherwise it would not get played on the radio.

When performing the song live, the band have usually used the original line. ...

The CBO, GOPer whining aside, has a strong record.
Sorry about the facts, Scotts, but your blinkers must be blinding.

$3.4T in red ink?

No problem, just add $3.4T in Tariffs and Americans will be happy to pick up the bill!

Let's not forget: these numbers are the raw borrowing; they're not including the interest on the debt.

By the time it's all over, it's going to be much closer to $5 trillion. Frankly, if the over/under is $5 trillion, I'll take the over.

Long held Republican Party dream, bankrupt America by cutting taxes for the rich so far that America has to finally destroy FDRs safety net. Take from the poor to give to the rich...all that the Republican Party has been about for a lot of years, and the fact that they can get votes from poor whites who hate the same black people they do is frightening...it is how Hitler gained enough power to take over all reins of power

The CBO uses 1.5% GDP growth. Anything over 2.3% makes the bill debt neutral. Wait and see. We know one thing, the left will be cheering for low growth because you know, its country first for them.

While you're at it: Remind us why exactly you're cheering for tax increases in the form of tariffs.
Here's your chance to offer something of substance to the conversation!

Are you saying harris would have added trillions in debt to give tax cuts to the rich? Or crashed the value of the dollar making everyone 10% poorer?

Meanwhile.

All you can do is defend a pedophile who has done his best to destroy America.

Because you hate brown people.
