In recent months, some Muslim communities in Canada and the United States have protested against LGBTQ+ inclusion. Socially conservative Muslims have criticized what they see as growing LGBTQ+ "indoctrination" in schools and society more broadly. In Michigan, a Muslim majority city council banned Pride flags from being flown on city property. In Ottawa, young children at an anti-LGBTQ+ protest stomped on Pride flags.

No difference between these Muslims and America's Evangelical Christians that are all over Africa pushing imprisonment and death for LGBTQ+ people. Why right here in the US the MAGAts are banning crosswalks painted with LGBQT+ colors, books that dare even touch on the subject, and we have a Supreme Court that wants to reverse gay marriage and gay rights. Sounds like the Canadian aswipe Muslims and the Sharia Supremes on SCOTUS have a lot in common. Them and the Evangelicals and MAGAts.

Funny that with all the hatred being fomented right here in the "good ol' USA" - no need to go to Canada to see religious -------- being religious --------.

I'm not entirely sure what the problem is myself, but I do know that frequently the page margins get messed up making it difficult to read on a phone. PC screens not so much.

Headlines are restricted to 60 characters. I'm assuming that is because that is what the normal page limits are, and to keep headlines all on one line.

In the body of a post, there are no restrictions. If someone posts a 60+ string of characters with no spaces (think STD with his "BWAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" nonsense), it seems like the site shrinks the font to fit it on one line since it can't word wrap it.

Posting large images does the same thing. When that happens, every post on that page winds up with a tiny font until the offending post eventually scrolls off. It really makes a mess out of the Recent Comments page.

I've come to believe something different from you.

When I look at history, throughout the world and different cultures that never knew of each other, it's interesting how so many attach a stigma against homosexuality.

That leads me to believe it is likely innate or something instinctively just goes against the grain about accepting homosexual behavior into their society. Even cultures that appear to be more tolerate, there is prejudice against them.

I believe, fact is, its not that we learn to reject homosexuality, humans learn to accept it into their society.

In other words, regarding gay people, it looks to me rejection is natural.

Acceptance is learned.

Contrasting Christianity to Islam, there is fundamental differences between them.

Christianity is built on a concept of forgiveness and not judging. Ideally that is.

Today I hear more Christians professing a growing acceptance of gay people as fellow believers. Homosexuality is a sin but so is a great number of other things considered abhorrent in the Bible. We accept that we are sinners and need Jesus for our sins to be absolved.

Islam, as I understand it, is built on submission (literally, Islam means "submission") and strict judgment, your deeds, obedience to God's law, and adherence to the Five Pillars. Forgiveness is possible, but it's conditional and never guaranteed the way Christianity teaches it.

Christianity rests on forgiveness through Christ and God's grace, while Islam emphasizes forgiveness as conditional, based on submission and works.

We've held such promise at different times in our evolution but then we blow it.

Socializing isn't purely instinct for harmony or fun.

Forming groups of like minded people or who share a common goal is instinct for survival. This survival often comes at someone else's expense.

This instinct is universal among animals and can be traced back to the earliest humans.
