Is Rcade still alive? Or has he sold us all out?

There's been a lot of speculation about whether Rcade still runs this site and only checks in every few months, or if he's sold it to someone else, possibly even someone linked to the government. What do you all think?

I can only see the ads when I'm on my phone, but they've become beyond unbearable. Pop-out ads that cover half the screen and sometimes take 10 seconds to slowly close. What advertisers actually think this an effective method to make people want to buy stuff?

The way I look up usernames is I click on my own username and then change "ClownShack" in the search bar to who ever I'm looking for.

Which is my normal routine.

If RCade is paying attention, I would recommend creating an app for the Drudge Retort for phone users and doing social media engagement in order to bring more users to the DR.

You could probably use AI to do both.

So... I have to ask, have you completely given up on enforcing any sort of standards on this site? I'm not saying that you should go back suspending posters or deleting posts for reasons that are petty AF, like you used to do, but there's been some obscene stuff posted here in the past few weeks about the Minneapolis killings that even I would ban people for.

Maybe, but my current opinion is not that.

fwiw, I view the #21 comment as reply to a far prior comment than the comment that immediately preceded it.

That seems to be the schtick with that alias. Almost random replies to no particular comment.

That aside, I am happy that RCade chimed in on this thread and seems to confirm my #18.

You can always do what I do, anything I see in ads, that is the last thing I will buy if there is another product that will do the job. That is the exact opposite of what is sought after with advertising. They've become so blatant with ads on the internet, it has partially ruined the net and is headed for the same treatment as tv, which they totally ruined. Now-a-days, tv shows are merely vehicles to serve you ads. If you don't like these ads, then refuse to buy the product/service that has been advertised.

This place isn't what it was and yet there is still an attempt by a few to keep it civil.

Sooner or later, authorities are going to ask about their real threats made by at least one individual. It's surprising that I've been given a rest period once in my years despite trying to maintain protocol,yet you allow one to be more than abusive, but downright threatening.
