An Iranian military spokesperson has mocked US attempts at a ceasefire deal, insisting the US was only negotiating with itself.

It is mentioned from time to time that Trump is delusional, but few still take that literally to heart.

Trump is imagining these negotiations out of a deep and sick persona need, with a dash of manipulating the markets.

The man is crazy enough to start a war of personal choice without the assistance of Congress, our allies, or the American people. And without remembering the existence of the Strait of Hormuz.

The issue as I see it ...

Pres Trump (rightly) views our military as most excellent.

But Pres Trump's failure is his apparent equivalence of military might (tactical) with goals (strategic).

Stated differently, the US Military in Iran has been performing outstandingly. The issue that I see is not the performance of the military, but the stratgy of the Commander in Chief.

Stated differently (again), what do those military operations accomplish for Pres Trump's strategic goals in his Iranian War?

Has the Iran Regime changed?

Have Iran's nuclear stockpiles been removed from Iran?

I could go on...

But it's interesting that you automatically take the word of the Iranian regime without question.

That says a lot. The level of hatred for Trump in this country must run pretty deep for someone to trust a government with a long reputation for dishonesty over their own government.

And let's not pretend this ends with Trump.

The next Republican president will get the same treatment.

He didn't "automatically" take that position. He took it after watching Trump serial-lie his way though the Presidency.

For example, when Trump said maybe someone else used a Tomahawk missile on the Iranian girl's school, the rest of the world laughed, because they know the rest of the world doesn't HAVE Tomahawks; only the US, the UK, and Australia do.

Funny that Bill doesn't see it, doesn't see what he is saying.

Right here is he saying HE doesn't trust what Piggy is saying. "Personally, I don't know what the truth is." He is saying, definitively, that he cannot trust what Piggy is saying, that Piggy is lying.

He just can't take the next logical step and conclude that since Piggy is lying, that the negotiations aren't taking place, at least as Piggy is presenting them.
